Do I log with "test:" like in the test server or with my normal log?

Cause my "connecting" screen is very long ( well im at work and i never played there cause my firewall prevented me to reach the updater ) ---> may be its prevent me to reach the server now...

Forget it, i think its my office's firewall which prevents me to reach the game, I can't shut it off cause its on a network.
I'll have to wait to be at home to test it, cool i already downloaded it :)

Bug: Energy bar does not render correctly (Niki posted a pic).

Bug: Tab completion does not work while in the ship (works fine in station).

Bug: Key releases no longer affect ship controls while a chat window is open (this feature significantly reduces 'stuck keys').

Bug: If the console is open during a jump, once you arrive at the new sector key input will go to ship control instead of the console even though the console appears to still be open.

Bug? (Missing feature?): Shift clicking does not add way points in the nav screen.

EDIT: System specs for the graphical glitch

Lua Chat Error: Not sure exactly how to reproduce this, but it sometimes happens to me while I'm in a station and will continue to happen until I leave the station. Every time I send a message the following error message appears:

vo/if_chatlog.lua:49: bad argument #1 to `sub' (string expected, got nil)
stack traceback:
lua/iup/iuplua.lua:188: in function <lua/iup/iuplua.lua:187>

BUG: Graphical error in selling cargo at a station when the cargo is NOT loaded into your ship. The cargo sells, you get cash and XP for it, but the station menu is not updated to show the cargo as no longer in inventory.

BUG: some form of lua error when buying a new ship. Selected a centaur, selected black as the color and a little lua error box appeared in the picture. was unable to click on it. changed screen and switched back it was gone. I havent been able to reproduce.

EDIT-

BUG: station updating error. buying/selling ships/equipment does not cause the station to immediately update. my cash does not get debited or credited, and the items do not appear in my inventory (however the purchase/sell bar is greyed out for that item)
Undocking and redocking refreshes the station and the items appear/dissapear (based on if i was buying or selling) howver my cash does not change.

Bug: When changing controls... they double up. I tried changing upstrafe to w... and accel to r... and under both fields, it listed both keys as triggers for those controls.

Error log / LUA error display bug. - When I get LUA errors displayed in the new client they come in 1 of 2 forms:
1 - i get a reasonable size window readout of the error; or
2 - i get a little tiny box that has the word close, the littel [x] and I can grab the corner of and resisze to read the actual error.

when i get type 2 it does NOT copy the LUA error to my errors log. the type 1 errors appear in the errrors.log just fine.

Of course, my 'net went down last night, and the tech won't be out 'til this evening. What wondrous timing.

Positive feedback (my top 5)

The inventory screen is legible and a LOT easier to navigate
Charinfo is clear, no more meaningless numbers for faction (the scrollover is a nice touch, too)
My god the new vulture in black looks awesome
I don't have to go into that old godawful ship select menu to buy a new ship
And the huge in-station accomplishments screen fills me with glee. Especially since I know it'll be filled up with awards from missions that will be added over the coming months...

Positive feedback:

Nice work! Please keep on doing what you were doing!

Ship preselects work, very nice feature.

The new UI looks nice, if a bit rough (ugly grey menu bg, transparent would fit better), I suspect that being due to beta status.

Negative feedback:

The loading screen seemed a bit bland, plus I wasn't able to chat during loading time (I liked that feature).

Bugs:

Distance meter broken/graphical glitch, shows distance in numbers, but not the bar.

Target damage indicator gone (bug or feature?)

Feedback:
1. MINOR RANT: Thought you were gonna change the font to something MORE legible. Still hard to read.
2. COSMETIC: Took a mission from the Corvus Hold M-14 station in Odia, the "Bots Are Annoying" one. The mission description screen was gray, and it covered the entire interface completely.
3. USER INTERFACE: You should be able to double-click on the missions to bring up the "info" screen, as well as being able to click once and then click on the "Info" button. Double-clicking on other things should open them up as well.
4. OVERALL LOOK & FEEL: MUCH better. Tabs and buttons remind me of powerpoint presentation, but are better. Organization appears improved. New icon art would be nice. Character info is MUCH better, looks like there is lots of room for improvement.

Will post more soon™.

Also, the "disconnect" button on the loading screen is nice and all, but it'd be a little more enjoyable if it wasn't defaulted to the same key you use to activate the docking/warping thinger.

I like to keep tapping mine, in case of lag.

my zip is downloading at only 25KB/sec.. I have a 4mbit cable.
Someone made a torrent yet?

Suggestion: Make the station interface windows scalable. On a wide large screen things are too far apart, expecially when buying and equipping a ship. Too much empty space.

BUG: Same render error niki has. Im using Macos if that helps

Leebs: Inc mentioned the font would be rerendered in some larger sizes.
