Well, time to devote myself to the climb back up the ladder. A word to the winner of the first bracket: Watch your six ;)

thats it then...
I tried my best, but it seems Lebermac and Mintebi are on at different times from me. So as to not hold up the tournament, I don't see any other choice than to let both win... Although I still feel we owe each other a figh, it must be postponed so Cunjo can get on with the tournament. Lets have the fights one day we are on together. Sorry it turned out this way. Good luck and happy fighting hereafter both of you.

Yes I am sorry it worked out that way too... btw that one day when we did meet each other and set up a time (for an hour later) I had major problems with my internet connection...

that is life for you:)

We'll fight another day I hope.

Good luck in the tournament (Lebermac too)

Bah. I couldn't make it online most of this week, it's not Hortan's fault. I hereby cede the match to him, and I'll continue against other opponents. Hopefully this week I'll have better luck making it online.

(But it's not looking to be less busy at this point...) :(

so effectively I'll go on in the light category and stop in the heavy. Is that satisfactory?
I can live with that easily!!

I would still like to try and fight you one day Lebermac:)

Hey, I wanna sign up for the Super Heavyweight Class please.
Jun 12, 2006 Cunjo link
Okay, I'll revise the tables and post them after I get home from work today (probably around 11:30... even though I'm supposed to get off at 9 - it never happens)

EDIT: firsm, what's your in-game char name?

TABLES UPDATED - Refresh first page to see new tables.

*IMPORTANT UPDATE*

They are now color-coded. Red are eliminations, blue are forfeitures, and Orange are Knocks.

Here's how the Knocks will work: You'll be given notice in the scheduling thread if you're at risk of being knocked. If you do not respond in the given length of time, you're knocked. Once you're knocked, the tournament can continue without you, and your match opponent is able to fight either you OR the next person up the line - whichever happens first. You can still compete once you're knocked, as long as you work in a match with your opponent BEFORE they work one in with the next person up the line. A knocked person can also choose to become a voluntary forfeiture if thy know they can't continue with the tournament.

Current knocks are: Surbius, LeberMac and Hortan.

Surbius' knock was finalized and he was eliminated from the first elimination bracket of the lightweight class. He will remain knocked until either he makes himself known again or is eliminated from the tournament.

To avoid becoming a knock yourself, visit THIS THREAD and post the times you are available to fight, and/or keep working out matches with your opponents quickly.

The following matches are next:

In the Lightweight Division for the Title: Hortan VS LeberMac OR Redlac - winner VS Shape - winner VS Gavan **TITLE**

For the Second-Elim and 500Kc: Nerde Verde VS Surbius

In the Heavyweight Division for the Title: Borb VS Gavan, Ayn VS Mick - winner VS CygnusX, Mintebi VS Hortan OR sapo_sk, Primus VS CrazySpence

For the Second-Elim and 500Kc: Spaceranger VS Proximity - winner VS Jefferson Clay

In the Super Heavyweight Division for the Title: sapo_sk VS Blue Streak, Nautargos VS JBE Zorg - winner VS Cunjo, fooz VS Euphoriac

For the Second-Elim and 500Kc: Surbius VS Borb

In the Prometheus Division for the Title: Calder VS Shedu - winner VS Nautargos - winner VS Matriarch

In the Valkyrie Division for the Title: Aequitas VS Euphoriac - winner VS Ghost **TITLE**

For the Second-Elim and 500Kc: Genotype VS LeberMac

REGISTRATION WILL BE CLOSED THIS FRIDAY - Unregistered pilots Register now or not at all.

ALL COMBATANTS: REGISTER YOUR TIMES HERE If you haven't already, and arrange matches.

Entree fees are still needed from: Primus, Euphoriac, CrazySpence and Calder.

P.S., no, the second-elim bracket does not lead back up to the first-elim bracket for the title - title is awarded ONLY to undefeated combatant of the first bracket, though if you win Second and 500Kc, you're welcome to try and challenge them to all or nothing.

I thought the whole point of Double-Elim is that you have to lose twice to be knocked out. So the winner of the second bracket would face the winner of the first bracket for the title. However, the winner of the first bracket must lose two rounds (being undefeated going into the final) in order to lose overall.

We could mod it for that, if you prefer.

Yea, traditionally, that's how it works, but I had intended to deviate a bit from tradition there.

Opinions from the other participants? I don't mean to speak for everyone, just wanted to know how this was going to work.
Jun 14, 2006 moldyman link
I thought it was going to work like Nerde said as well
Jun 14, 2006 Shapenaji link
Yeah, I expected what Nerde said as well
Jun 14, 2006 Borb II link
Go ahead and knock me with collage starting up and work I don't know if I'll have the time. Keep the money though to futher in-game events and such.
Jun 14, 2006 Gavan link
So would that mean that if you advance out of the first bracket, then the worst you can do is second?
Jun 15, 2006 greengeek link
Right. The winner of the first bracket (A) is undefeated until the final with the winner of the second bracket (B). Then either B wins two complete matches in a row, so B is first, A is second, or A wins one of the two matches and the title. 3rd would go to whomever was defeated in the final match of the second bracket.
