Let me add this up, your paying 1.5 mil in prizes per class, and charging 100k per class.... if you have more than 15 entreis per class... nice little fund raiser you got going there... what happens if you don't get enuf entries?
rev-c is so close to IBG that naming one without the other is stupid.
you outlaw the svg but no mention of corvus vult?
you put prom in its own class because you are scared of rags.
you outlaw n4, hive posi, hive battery, but your thinking about n3?
I'd pay a million credits to be able to enter a vult3 with a single n1 on a medium battery in all 5 classes, if you just add the rule that you had to stay within 3,000m of a stationary point in space. talk about easy pickings...

Jex, N3s are easier to acquire than lawguns, since you don't need to piss off strikeforces to get them, and hey're frequently encountered just floating about grey space near WHs.
I'm hearing that people want the Laws and N3s, so perhaps I'll make an amendment that you can use them if both parties agree to use them before the match.
TRS, SCAR is sponsoring the event and will pay out prizes.
There isn't room in the tournament tables for more than 16 entries per class, since I seriously doubt we'll get that.
The Rev C and Corvus Vult will remain IN the tournament. Most everyone has access to them, and if they don't, they can get it quickly. Furthermore, they are NOT as overpowered as the IBG and SVG. I realize that this means almost everyone in the class will be fighting with them, and that is their choice.
Norse: AAPs are permitted. It takes place where and when the different parties are able to meet over a period of weeks.

Sounds good, I'll fine a way to add that in.
EVERYONE: There are only two class entries permitted per player! Choose two, or I can't put you in the lineup

Sorry mold, I remember putting you in for two earlier, and I don't know how you fell off the list - I thought you were adding a third class. It's been fixed. Thanks for the heads-up.
:)
Hortan signs up for light and heavy
How do we pay?
How do we pay?
SCAR will arange something with the payments as well as the prize money. You can pay the fee at (or anytime before) the time of your first match. Payments will end up going eiher through the judges or directly into an account serving as the event fund.
I'll sign up for light and heavy.

Why are my poor SVGs considered overpowered?

Ahem,
Shape enrolls in the Light and Heavyweight classes
Matriarch enrolls in the Prometheus and Super Heavyweight classes
G o d enrolls in the Valkyrie Class
See? no more than 2 per player
Choose a class or 2? why? If someone goes to the damn bother of learning all the ships, shouldn't they be able to compete?

Ok I'll do the Heavyweight and Prom classes. Sorry Cunjo didn't see the 2 thing.
I'll edit my earlier post to make less confusion.

I'll go in for the Light class.
I don't really see much point in restricting some ships from the light class. The differences between Corvus Vult/SVG and RevC/IBG are certainly not dealbreakers in an even fight.
Shape: I think the limits were there to keep the tournament from getting held up if someone has to have 3 or 4 matches at once for things to proceed. Happens often enough at our fencing tournaments when someone decides to fence all 3 weapons and holds up the semi-finals in each of them.

No. I made them up. If the devs want to adopt them as in-game icons, that's on them. If you like the rag pic one, then I might make pic ones for the others... though I wouldn't know which ships to pick for the light and heavy classes.

Per PLAYER, Shape, not Character. Sorry. The restriction... well, let's see, it's for:
To Specialize - A Player can choose what ships/classes they want to be known for, and be infamous in those classes. Universal infamy comes with reputation, as you well know, not with a championship title.
To Diversify - The more different players claim the different titles, the better. It's bad enough that I'm allowing two entries per player instead of one.
To not Devalue - The titles mean more if all held by different players than they do if all they say is "Shape is King," "Icarus is King", etc. If we wanted to do that, we'd only make one title, not five.
To Promote Fairness - How much fun is it for other players if only one of them can walk away with all the titles? Give other players a chance to choose the titles they want to try for, and give them a chance to win them by not pitting them up against the best players in the game for all of them.
To Keep the Event Reasonable - The more players we need to face off on each title, the longer the event will take, and it will quickly reach a point where it takes so long that it is entirely impractical if we need to allow everyone in the game to compete in five different double-elimination tournaments.
Are those enough reasons for you or do you need more?
You can only enter in two classes. Choose the two you want the title for and let other people compete for the others.
EDIT: Nerde, yes, I realize that the difference is margainal between those sets of ships, but since so many players are prevented from using one or the other, sometimes both, I want to avoid any arguments springing up around "well his IBG is more powerful than my Rev C, and he only won by 1%" or anything like that, which means nipping it in the bud with the rules and restrictions on the event. With the Rev C, most players can fly it, or the Corv Vult, and players who choose not to typically have nothing to blame but themselves for that choice, and can change to it next round.
