As much as I agree with the idea, t'was not I who stated that particular statement.
Softy is Holden.

Yay, cent tweaked!
Hi. I had already increased the mass of the AGT. This stuff has all been on my list for months. I didn't change the Prom itself, but the increase in AGT mass should alter the balance of things. We'll see how it works out.
I also added masses to batteries (~100kg), which should affect everyone, and add a new level of configurability.

Yay, battery mass! I always liked that suggestion...
Oo, thats interesting!
Oh no! How much will my UC batt weigh now?
/me runs off to do some thrust/mass ratio calculations...

wow, can't believe I hadn't seen this yet... must read newspost now.
Incarnate:
"I kept the cargo capacity, but I reduced top speed and armor."
WHAT?!? I'd hate to see the moth go any slower... I'd much rather see its thrust take the nerf bat so it can't accelerate faster than a Rag...

Inc, if you add mass to batteries the valk DESPERATELY needs some weight adjustments. A stock vulture outran today my 3xN3 IDF valk. Its really getting way to heavy. The whole thing used to be 3000kg, now its 4000kg in the most basic configuration (not mentioning flares).
Thats why I dont use valks.....

A thing I would like to see in game was the option of having multiple batteries in a ship
another cool addition would to make the weapons and thrust generate heat, so the players would have to deal of adding heatsinks to their ships
but, I think Itīs because i sort of love to customize things, and, my dream is that this game become some kind of "Space gran turismo" in the long run with players having to deal with dozens of different components for their ships it would add a lot to the game lastability.
Thatīs what attract me in games such as "front mission" or "armored core"
I know itīs in the Incarnateīs plans, so iīll look forward for it!

Ooh, these 'Hive Fast Charge' Batteries look interesting. However, the new-fangled 'Law Enforcement' Neut seems a bit unbalanced...

Unbalanced? Nah! I love it!
Thats the point. Its better than the N3, and reletively easy to obtain if you factor in how often station gaurds issue. Now, if you had to actually *work* to get such a weapon I would think it ok. The Aerna Seeker Rockets, on the other hand, are harder to get because you have to blow up the seeker before it blows up you--and thus balanced.
The seeker rockets are worthless, as they only do 100 damage and are not reloadable, so even though they're harder to obtain, they're hardly worth it and therefore hardly balanced.
As far as the lawguns, they're only slightly better than the N3s. Consider, also, that UIT characters have NEVER had a special weapon like the N3 available to them, and can still only obtain them by killing a ship that has them. Lawguns can only be obtained be booming something else.

i've collected a usable stash of N3s and law neuts and i haven't killed any of the nesesary ships (i'm not even sure what keeps dropping those n3s) i just scavenge in B-8 and around stations.
so as much as i hate to say it, either the drop rate needs to be decreased or a level of crafting has to be added. I believe it was previously sugested that destrolied ships drop damaged widgets that once enough were colected (the number needed depending on the complexity of the item and the crafting level of the character salvaging them) they could be combined into a finished product.
I suppose it is posable that if most stations didn't allow you to equip law neuts (and other similarly "rare" widgets) then that might help with the balance issue.
