johnhawl: thanks, I'll probably do that today. Finishing up midterms in umm, about 50 minutes, so I haven't had time to do anything with that. =p
Blacklight: Yes. Those two games rock, so I did use some ideas from them. In the case of the Erinyes (the FS2 Pegasus), I wanted to know if John would think it was a quality design, which he didn't really. Oh well.
As for my version of the vult, I don't like it either. >_>
Edit: my version of the vult being the Deimos. The Hermes, I do like. I just haven't spent much time on it.

Ah I see. I love the Aoeleus though, I think that should be the ship that should be put in the game.
My favorite of yours Harry, and only real candidate imho for actual use in-game, would be the Pegasus. That looks like it's had the most design put into it out of all the ships you've worked on. Still needs texturing and stuff but that's the one I'd vote for it there was a poll.
I'm kinda partial to the pegasus and Raubvogel.
Okay...so I'm looking at the wiki, and I'm wondering what I have to do...? If nothing, johnhawl rocks, 'cos I don't know how to edit wikis well >_>
Saves me the trouble of finding out. Heh.

Just putting them in any kind of order, giving the thumbnails descriptions like names, etc. Not something you have to do.
I'm too lazy to check but have the devs ever said anything about this? some of these are really good :

They're not up to snuff.
Even though some of them may be up to par, no one is able and willing to meet the game specs that are required to get them ingame.
See this link for the requirements: http://design.vendetta-online.com/wiki/index.php?title=Creating_Ships
Most do not own a copy of 3DSM and all the free app's don't have the right exporters.

We should all donate money too Harry so that he can buy 3DSM.
:P
:P
I don't...
• have 3DSM.
• have a PC to run 3DSM on.
• have incentive.
• have time.
John stopped e-mailing me back after a point, at which point I also stopped working. It seemed pretty pointless to keep working on a project that just kept taking time from my studies, and wasn't actually getting anything done.

ok, ive started on a new painting... Heres the preliminary design. All the major shading attributes are simply to show the form. This is purely out of my head, but id like to know if, like last time, someone sees any parallels so i can augment the design before making any detail additions that i could not re-paint. For this design i intend to focus more on the ship details and less on the environment like i did last time.

Here's the last painting so you can see the quality im aiming for:

Alright ship designers, I have a challenge for you. There's a thread going on in the suggestions forum about a UI command room interface that would be accessable from a command ship:
http://www.vendetta-online.com/x/msgboard/3/13047
Something big, maybe about the size of a hive queen. There's more description in the thread. Think you guys could come up with something neat for a moderately sized "Mobile Command Vessel"?
Edit: Here's a description.
Maybe if they made a new ship for mobile command. Something pretty big, like the size of a trident, minimal weapons capabilities (maybe 1 or 2 tubes of missiles) and a few turrets for defense. It would be incredibly slow, slower than a moth, but would have armor around the equivilent of a hive queen or even a little bit more. The ideal strat for this ship would actually be to stay out of the battle. It should not be a combat ship, but have enough defense to at least last a while before being destroyed. A person in this ship (co-pilot maybe?) would have the ability to use the homeworld/command center like interface to issue orders, set waypoints, and further coordinate the efforts of his allies.
Note: This ship should be REALLY REALLY slow. The idea being that it is virtually useless in 1 on 1 combat, but has limited defences to assist allied fighters providing protection. As well as a lot of armor to take a beating before going down. Very similar to a hive queen, but even less manuverable. It should NOT be able to be used like a HAC, ie) going into the middle of the battle guns blazing. And guess what, having a ship like this would actually create a roll for bombers!!!!
P.S. !!!!!!!!
Edit: Hell, maybe they could turn the trident into something like this?

A challenge! ah ha! I knew someone would smooch off us ^^ Anyway ill have a go at it, depending on if i have time though.
Hi
I just would like to post here some pics of ships and designs I did for the other game I worked on
www.thunder-works.com/steelrising/disruption/Wallpaper 01.jpg
The big blue haulers are the "Mantis" model, I don´t know why, in that time it resembled a mantis to me
the fighters were untextured yet when I rendered this image, that´s why they are all black, but you can see some concept images of then below:
www..thunder-works.com/steelrising/disruption/Tsunami 01.jpg\
www..thunder-works.com/steelrising/disruption/Tsunami 02.jpg - links on the next page[RR]
www..thunder-works.com/steelrising/disruption/Tsunami 03.jpg/
at the time, I tried to suggest to the designers a complete modular design for the ships, for example, the player would start with a basic ship, than add abooster, attach weapons to the boosters, replace the booster for bigger ones, add wings, etc...
I liked the idea of having really big weapons attached to the boosters, like in that concept images
altough, my idea was largely criticized, mostly because my fighters looked too much like an modern fighter (I´m very influenced by Macross and yukikaze animes)
anyway, I would like to see some of this in vendetta someday
follows another link to a prototype of a stealth fighter i proposed too:

I wish I could see the images, but the links do not appear to work =\
thats because he put two dots after the www. Edit your post Reno.
Whoa, be nice, vIsitor.... Sheesh. Cut him a little slack, will ya?
I didn't mean to be condescending, I was merely stating the fact. Sorry if I came across as a bit rough.
