There is enough safety in this game without ppl being able to jump in a low level ship and turbo forever. You wanna go faster than 200 ms it should cost Turbo drain on battery. (GreyHound being the exception)
+1, I believe anything faster deserves to have a battery drain except yeah of course the hound as you pay generally more for a fast ship, id moreso even agree with 190 m/s.
though a lot of people here do NOT like changes specifically related to ship speeds, but I do +1 this due to logic and extreme topicality and this does add more player contact.

Now just to wait for lord Incarnate's classic "I don't care about logic and pseudo science"
Turbo energy should be proportional to turbo speed.
Ect, 140, 40 turbo; 180-45 turbo; 200-50 turbo; 210-52 turbo; 220-55 turbo; 225-57 turbo.

Can you explain your -1, greenwall?

This seems like a fair compromise between what we have now, and this. It would help place ships back into their formerly balanced roles, both speed and acceleration wise.

Well, yes.
I do find it mildly irritating though that essentially the same discussions are being reposted as slight variations of already existing suggestion threads, instead of keeping it all in one place. Context is generally helpful.

Could we perhaps some more input than +1 and -1?
Better yet let's just implement this and move on to addressing the capship BS that exists next.
Wouldn't this make the Hound too OP?
Most infinite turbo ships already have a cap of 200 m/s turbo speed on them, the ones that don't are :
EC-107, All Hornet Variants except the MK3, Atlas Type X, and the Hog MK 2.
Only the Hog MK 2 seems to be in need of a slight nerf on it's max turbo speed down to 210-215 m/s. All other ships in-game either don't have infinite turbo, or have their turbo speed already capped at 200 m/s or have their acceleration low enough to be easily caught up by a chaser.

I haven't ever heard anybody complain that the Hog MkII is OP.
Y'all are tilting at windmills over here.

Its not... I'm just showing that most of the low level ships already have their turbo speed capped at 200, and the rest are not too quick in gaining max speed. So the OPs suggestion won't have much impact but will only ruin the Hog MK 2 and the Atlas X. The 210-215m/s cap was more of a countersuggestion rather than ruining it completely.
All to be gained by this being implemented is a couple more noob kills. To be lost is more time traveling.
Dare I say VO doesn't really benefit from either of those.
This is more of a thread for people to exercise their forum-ing skills in the absence of anything better to discuss.
