"Instead of a lengthy forum campaign for a game-imbalancing nerf,"
How is requiring turbo drain for speeds over 200 mps game imbalancing?
@dirty
"Sounds to me like you want the SVG to have infiniturbo. and to that I say +1"
Wrong.
@Nico
"Well then the suggestion should have been to make SVG a proper interceptor and not to ruin hog2"
Thank you for showing once again the only reason people fly it is for the infini turbo. The SVG is a proper interceptor against anything that doesn't have infini turbo.

How is it not imbalancing? You want to reduce the ability of 3 widely used ships to evade interception, lol. More travelers and traders would be killed as a result.
You have admitted that the particular issue you are trying to address is that interceptors do not appear to intercept well enough under current game conditions. However you paint the target on the incorrect cause. The problem lies in the lack of enough other players in game to satiate your bloodlust relative to the size of the universe.
I see absolutely no reason why the current >200 m/s infiniturbo-capable, non-interceptor ships should lose that capability. They ALREADY have balances in place, whether it be lower armor, slower turning speed, reduced cargo space, or (obviously) limited top speed.
The only speed reduction argument (top speed and/or infiniturbo limitation) that even remotely makes sense is a grand-rebalance, since it would take into account each ship in relation to the rest. But even that seems hugely excessive and unworthy of the time and debate it would demand.
Ship speeds are fine.

This kind of comment does not directly address any argument. It asserts that there is a malicious intent behind the OP without evidence, which is a form of poisoning the character.
Can a guide please clean this RoC violation up?

Please do stick to the argument at hand.
JJ, if we were to apply this same level of "analysis" to your posts... Please leave the judgement calls to the moderators. Thank you.

"You want to reduce the ability of 3 widely used ships to evade interception"
I want to reduce the guaranteed escape of +200mps infini turbo ships by turbo locking and sitting for couple minutes (again as no one reads everything the Hound is the exception to this suggestion).

Right, and you want to do that to make it more difficult to evade interception. And it's actually 4 ships:
Hog 2, Hornet 2, Hornet Convoy Guardian, Atlas-X

I would be more amenable to this suggestion if it was across the board and included the hound and every other ship below 200mps as well. Including all trade ships, tridents etc. This nerf would give the hound too much power.
-1. Make the SVG better at intercepting instead.
Make the SVG better at intercepting instead.
Um no. It's good enough. Serco have the Skyprom, that's their strength. Intercepting is Itani. Making the SVG better than it is is also imbalancing against the Itani.

I always thought that intercepting is a Corvus thing.

I don't see how a guaranteed escape by simply locking on the turbo key is balanced in any way.

It's not guaranteed if they lock their turbo while you are close by and have enough of a cell to pursue them.

Forgot about the part where weapons drain the cell rapidly, greenie? Being near your prey helps, but it's still not very guaranteed. Hound's ability to replenish the cell while turboing is what makes it a great chaser, not its 225 infiniturbo.

These ships are supposed to be slippery. I don't see the problem with them actually being slippery.
The whole point of an interceptor is to be able to intercept ships that are over 450m away.
