I also think that counvoys should be a REGULAR service, that departs every X hours to somewhere.

And many convoys should be deliver-and-return, it ends where it departed. That would make much more sense for real life ships. You leave station A, deliver to station B, gets another cargo load and returns to station A. Or do one leg empty.

And some should be a circuit, visiting stations A->B->C->...->A.
