That link speaks the truth. Before you call to nerf any ship, nerf your ego; swarms work *really* well against all varieties of Proms.
(Although I strongly disagree with the final point; if you want to improve, by all means use training weights.)

PsyRa, F/A-18's and tanks are expensive, hundreds of times more expensive then say a jeep with the driver holding a pistol. A prom is not hundreds of times more expensive than a vulture. Do you see my point? There is balance in reality. For the game to be MORE fun, some added balance can help. If you read my suggestion, I actually said that the prom should be harder to get, rarer, and more expensive, not nerfed.
To be fair, they aren't exactly cheap to begin with.
psyra: this is a game, not a real war. people expect it to be relatively balanced and fair, otherwise its no longer fun because you just get killed over and over.
I think that making it a ship that must be crafted like the superlight is a good option.

And making the Serco special so it has to be crafted while the other two nations get their ships for practically free constitutes your idea of balanced and fair, does it? If the Prom becomes the ultimate extra good ship (which it's not) that takes extra time and resources to get, then the Serco ought to have a replacement as well, don't ya' think?
LEAVE THE PROMY ALONE!
If i have to go through you to nerf it i wont have a problem
If one side has to craft theirs then yeah, making the special for both sides require crafting would be fair, thought that shouldn't be the only way to get a nation special. It might be better to make the standard nation specials buyable while the upgraded versions require crafting. The Itani Valkyrie, IBG , Serco Prometheus and SVG would still be buyable.
Maybe a crafting mission could be offered at a non valk/prom and require a valk or prom as an "ingredient" to upgrade?

Good to know that I can leave for a while, come back, and the arguments are still the same. Hee hee.
Yeah, well, the Prom, by its inherent nature, seems to be a magnet for debate, buffs, and nerfs alike. Go figure.
Although, its rather sad that nobody is arguing the case of the TD anymore. I mean, its better than it was, but is only marginally more preferable than the MkIV, and the MkII remains the best of the Warthog lot. Its sad, really.

The TD is a fantastic ship, and my favorite of the series. Take your eyes away from the stats page for 2 seconds, and go actually compare how it handles to the others.
the MkIV handles better than the TD
Except in turning, the Hog's weakpoint if you ask me. (And the Prom's. For those still not convinced that's it's a mortal ship, I suggest the same medicine; ignore the stats, and go fly one. You might be surprised to find out it does *not* handle like a light fighter, no matter what quotient you come up with after dividing numbers on a website.)
Different tools for different jobs. A mouse trap is great for killing mice, but sucks at killing flies...
hmmm sucks cause we aint allowed to use swarms in Itan yet we face many proms due to the fact we fight serco all the time
