Ghost, the Prom pilots (when I was there early Tues night) were A-Dawg, Faceless, and yes, even SpaceHunter went to go get a prom.
Needless to say, I died lots in my Rev C, but the other Itani pilots racked up kills cause they used missiles, which kind of ate the Prom's lunch.
Corbin, good observation. Proms are useful for defensive ships, but are also quite nice when flown aggressively. I know that if I'm in B-8 with A-Dawg, he's always gunnin for me, and he's never without his Prom.
And terjek, I've gone up against Matriarch 1 v 1 in my rev C and once lived for almost 3 minutes, damaging her to maybe 80%... Heh. (Oh well.)

It must be. I've not known one other person to agree with him about such things. And all this leads me to believe that he has still not fought a decent pilot in an agt-flare prom while using a valk himself.

Ghost, you are probably right. It seems to like he could be telling the truth: perhaps he has flown only busses, and was blinded by the stats of the valk when perusing the VO wiki. That could explain almost all of his posts. Well, the little of them that actually pertains to the threads they are in.

I'm agreeing on the "tamdang" issue too. In the six pages of the "OMFG NERF THE VALK" thread, NOT ONE person agreed with Nya.
Let's list just WHAT is so unlikely about Nya and tamdang being two separate people!
1) tamdang agrees with Nya, which is simply unprecendented
2) We've never seen tamdang anywhere (forums OR in game) before this, and yet he can supposedly fly a valk. Yet he posts on this specific thread, singling out Nya's post out of all others, and responds only to that argument
3) tamdang decided to post for the first time within two hours of aforementioned post
4) He types with the same grammatical and spelling errors as Nya
5) This topic has ben mentioned in an earlier thread, which tamdang *must* have been around for, since he's been around long enough to level to the point where he can fly a valk. Yet he didn't post there at the time. Hmmmm....
The odds of these conditions occuring coincidentally are simply astronomical. They seem to be about the same as those of Nya/tamdang flying into a system with me in it and coming out alive, from what Martin's said about his piloting skills.... ;)

I haven't had enough experience with Proms to be a good judge of whether or not to nerf them, so I'm staying neutral for now.
EDIT: Don't go over to IRC to ask Genka to come over here... I made that mistake once. *shudders* If you do decide that you have to, and he asks you if he seems like a b****, get the hell outta there while you've still got your pride intact. =P

I think proms are alright for what they are atm. But there's no way I'll take one on by myself while I'm in a valk. So a note to those who fly proms, namely SCP's: Don't be surprised if you get double teamed, because taking on an agt-flare Prom 1 on 1 in most ships = death.
I my self fly SCPs with the intention of having to fight more then one person, I used to fly Taurs and Rev Cs, but after many fights were my armor could not out last the barrages, I up graded to the beefier Prom. Sure I can't run any thing down any more, but I also am no longer killed as much in the defense of my nation.
Oh and Leber, I seem to remember many times when you and smittens 2 v 1ed me with out any wins. Matter of fact the only time any of you won was when I stepped in to a Rev C per your duel request and then some one who's name will remain unnamed but has already been named in this post and is not you... Attacked me.

Actually.......it all depends on the prom pilot.
I killed a number of average pilots in SCPs using valk or maud.
Expert SCP pilots are quite a different thing. Managed to beat a bunch using tung taur...... only........some of them ..... mainly Uncle Dave & Matriarch...give me the shivers.
Mr Armond posted an interesting theory about defense/attack ships I have to disagree with.
PROMS= destroyers/bombers, VALKS= interceptors.
Imho valk lacks firepower to be a serious attack ship, good interceptor yes.
Light interceptors were always the best defense ships and bombers had only one use = attack and devastation.
And if a heavy armored bomber also has the ability to move like a light ship /and SCP does/ it is a true multipurpose attack uber ship.

- SCP 60 drain turbo is not correct (55 is correct)
- Flares detonation (30m) is not correct ( 20 or 25 is correct)
- Valkyries 55 drain turbo is not correct if you keep the actual 60 drain turbo on SCP. change the valk or the PROM drain turbo.
