After a thorough analysis of the posts in these forums, I have notice that the ‘emotes’ used are normally a word (or words) proceeded and followed by asterisks. There is one alarming exception to this: the word ‘poke’, when used as an emote, does not have asterisks, but are sprouting the cleverly disguised fruit of Phytolacca Americana.

(yeah, they’re pokeberries)

*poke*

(ps: the poke-chop was "well-done")
