One time I jumped into Deneb in an unarmed XC full of Adv Rails I had stolen from some silly trader. I found about 3 dozen capital ships and hundreds of fighters buzzing around, pretending to do an Itani-vs-Serco war thing. Since we all know that Itani and Serco are actually all the same people and only fight to put on a show when they aren't trying to hunt down those nasty pirates, every ship in the sector immediately turned its guns on me. Since I was in an XC obviously I couldn't run, so I just rammed all of them to death. Well, I think a few of the Itani X-1's managed to run away before I killed them with my unarmed XC once I brought down their 5th and final HAC, because that's what Itani do, but the point is they were all gone so I could consider hauling my loot.

I possess slightly more than 16 MCr (on toshiro), most of which (around 60%) was accrued by achieving a podium finish in races or sharing in the NW winnings. The rest was earned by scavenging or sometimes trading for standing. Bankrolling a few M for whatever hurts my balance.

Oh, and I have been playing for some time, although discernibly less than others.

And lastly, why not order the list alphabetically? Would make it easier to skim it.

You can't seriously think that paying is a waste of time and money, Tosh. You, as a fairly rational person, would know that if we're charging less than the replacement cost (which we almost always do, and are willing to negotiate over), paying us if we have a high probability of scoring a kill is the right call.

But if you want to go up there with the other dogmatics, it's your call.

No no, you're right; seen under the light of role-playing a purely in-game efficient trader or miner, it would not make sense (except that I was held up when not flying a trade ship, which kind of renders your argument moot...).

For me, it's thoroughly more enjoyable to get a thrill out of the rides, even if it costs me (in-game) money, which I have to regain with some work, but earning money by scavenging and racing is much more fun (although I haven't raced, or, indeed, played much recently).

Ceterum censeo an alphabetic sorting of the list would make sense. And stickying it would probably also make sense.

Put me on the list I can't be arsed answering hails and most of the pirates run from me anyway.

The only pirates I have any respect for are Maalik and tumble they at least will stand and fight( and usually win!).

If I get shot it is an occupational hazard I never go unarmed and to be honest I enjoy the PVP

I originally thought this list was valid, the fact I have been just added to your list makes this entire list a farce in my mind at moment.

I have only played game now for 3 days, the last three demands I have had have been in amounts of 500,000 1 million and then another 1 million CR demand. my character has not near that to his name and every time had no cargo . Cost of ship 1.2 k and then I would be pmed I should paid the demand???

Further last 2 times I stopped my ship to reply to go BOOM! 3 secs. to reply????

I told him Repeatedly I lost nothing worth paying 1 million CR and that eventually I would build up to return favor how that is a whine is beyond me. I really was hoping there were RP pirates in this game that were not just Gankers that would repeatedly pm you and harass you I am now disappointed and fact that in your official pirate post the lies are posted.
I really looking at your post thought you had a good org. pirate group that wanted to RP. Frankly U was happy pay for that.

There are so many factual errors here that I don't know where to start.

First, you had closer to 30 seconds, at least in my case. I hailed and said "Pay 100k or die," [wait wait wait] "Stop at once and pay," [wait wait wait] and finally "Last warning"...which is right about when you turned your ship, mashed the turbo, and tried to run. Then you died.

Now, if you'd said something over sector chat, or 100, or by PM... we'd have talked, you'd have said 100k was too much for a noob in a renevant, and I'd have gone down to 15-20k. Instead you were non-responsive and ran.

Second, it was 100,000 not 1,000,000. The latter can take a few hours to make; the former takes about 5 minutes.

Third, you had 22 cu of cargo on you when I killed you. Lying is just silly.

Shil, as a VPR, you're not really a trader. Even if you wanted to pay when caught trading, we'd never let you do so (at least I wouldn't and don't see why anyone else would). Whatever you're doing is to further VPR's goals, which means we should kill you, not request money from you in exchange for safe passage.

At least that's how [VPR] treat all my characters when they try and engage in non-pirate activity. And I believe in reciprocity.
