Okay, there seems to be some misunderstanding as to what role I play in the Vendetta universe. Some people have gotten pissed off at me about it. So I thought I'd take the time to clear it up here. Once I've explained myself I'd like to hear your thoughts on whether you agree with this roleplaying style or not.
Most of you may have known me as a pirate in the past. Those days are long gone. I am now part of UIT. I work towards defending the nation and its pilots. The way I play nowadays is pretty simple. Anyone who is red on my radar gets blasted. This applies to both pirates and to people who are generally hated by UIT.
I've worked up an admirable reputation for both Serco and Itani nations. This was done not only to appear neutral to everyone, but to also eliminate all doubt as to whether the people I target are truly an enemy of UIT or not. I intend to keep those standings high so innocent players aren't hurt.
The bottom line is I extend my services as sort of a human version of the Strike Force, but outside of UIT boundaries. Whether I fight fair or not is irrelevant. Whether I retreat or not is irrelevant. My goal is to blast all enemies of UIT no matter what the cost. Be prepared for anything.
There are of course a few exceptions to this rule. I do these things out of common courtesy, not because I am required to. For example I don't interrupt duels. I don't blast enemies of UIT during official activities like the TGFT mining expedition, unless they are set targets. I don't kill racers either.
One special note though. It is generally understood that the capital ship event involves sort of a FFA battle between all three nations. Expect hostility there. I had a problem with IDF members who took my actions the wrong way. If you're anywhere near the UIT capital ship, you will be attacked.
That's all I have to say about my agenda on Vendetta. I hope to gain more support by having more players defend UIT against pirates and its general enemies. And I hope to have the cooperation of other nations in tracking down the scum that puts the general welfare of innocent pilots at risk as well.

I think you're tyring too hard.
But if your actions result in pirates looking for you to kill you instead of hunting traders, I see no problem with that.

Hmmmm, admired by Serco and Itani, cunning UIT making profit on both sides.
And.....human strike force of 1?
Sounds interesting.:)

Sounds like another vigilante hiding behind ethics as a way if hiding his lack of.
Yeah, he even talks about a UIT nation as if it existed.
I personally applaud your actions. These are just my feelings and not that of my guild. So if I'm going to be hunted for saying it...oh well, I've been hunted before! LOL
I've always been a sucker for an Underdog. :)
Keep up the good work.

So when you join UIT you join nothing? I'm confused. Regardless of semantics it doesn't change anything. I defend "my people" against those that kill 'em. Under simpler terms, I kill those that are red on my radar and no one else (unless attacked of course). The game does a wonderful job of sorting out the enemies from the friends. What's there to debate? If there's anything wrong, I'd like to hear it. So far it hasn't been very convincing, and it's left me with a lot of confusion as to why people (the "red" ones) get angry when I do it.
For those whom agree with these simpler friend/foe terms: I thank you, support you, and wish you the best of luck in your endeavors. A look into UIT's backstory tells us that we need all the help we can get. The same holds true for the current universe. So continue the cycle of neutrality and give those against it the pain they deserve.

In the back story the UIT nation is not a nation really just more a group or corporations. Rember this is the RP forum. :P
Maybe VPR could be something for you Arolte. I joined because of a somewhat equal mentality as you now. Anyway, good luck and let the others talk. Itani and Serco don't want us to become a strong cohesive nation because of some of the trade interests, but we are a nation and we are growing closer together as UIT.
The UIT exists!!!

the UIT is a Nation, Gold Team was a nation aka Gold Nation, which turned into Neutral Territories which also was a nation, and the NT = Gold nation, then NT was renamed to UIT, so NT = UIT and NT = Gold Nation, therefore by the transitive property of equality, UIT = Gold nation so UIT must be a nation!
plus... Arolte as a viper?!?!? ROFLMAO!

I agree, otherwise there'd be no difference between UIT and gray space.
Thanks for the offer, Arash Wu, but I'm already with IGPK. Still it wouldn't hurt to work together. Oh and what's wrong with Viper, Blacklight?
nothin, just kinda weird seeing you as a vpr
There is a difference bohe? Last time I looked pirates hung in UIT just as much as grey you know why? Cus there are many places we can hide out there that do not care what the UIT think about our crimes. Now you get one of the two nations and there is no place to hide.

Beh....the game doesn't do a very good job of sorting friend from foe. We should be able to designate people as being hated by ourselves on our own radars, so guys like Fehdman Kassad can't sneak up using the radar's flaws. And, Itani-turned-Serco (and vice versa) aren't handled very well by the game.
Hum, the IGPK. I haven't known the IGPK to be a particularly positive reinforcement on "keeping the peace". I have been attacked by IGPK on numberous times, without provocation. IGPK is more "PKers" than "peacekeepers".
...and on that note, sounds like I'll be fighting Arolte at some point.

On the contrary I haven't seen any of my guild members attack anyone out of randomness. In fact they probably spend most of their time mining—at least from what I hear in the guild chat. In any case I can't keep track of their actions or control them. And considering I'm a newer recruit I really have no say in what goes on. If you'd like to file a complaint, you're more than welcome to contact either Orus or Lydia with your problems. They're the main leaders who can look into those problems and take action. Other than that I really can't say much about your woes.
You certainly won't be attacked by me unless you're hated by UIT or you're a well known pirate. That much I can guarantee you. And I agree with you on the ability to allow the player to designate without a player is bad or not. The game isn't perfect. But for the most part I think very few pirates get away with maintaining good standing with some of the major nations, when they continue their pirating openly. It's only inevitable, in my opinion.

Arolte, I agree with what you're doing and support you whole-heartedly (as you well know). IDF's focus has shifted away from tracking down enemies of the Itani nation (as it seriously did late in the beta) to being a CTC/do-your-own-thing guild. I guess I am the one-man offensive part of the guild, so I'll help you track down pirates and criminals whenever I can.
And Holdan, have a little grace (and goodness--commonsense!) when dealing with guilds. It is hard to manage guilds (especially larger ones) and you cannot construe random attacks as the hostility or neutrality (or even friendship) of a guild. I even killed an IDF member's alt char once because I didn't know it was he. If you're automatically going to attack Arotle, then you're either a jackass without common sense or an opportunistic PKer looking for an excuse to start a fight. *hmph*

Neither are the case. I was simply pointing out that the term Peacekeeper was in use in an ironic way. I also didn't say that IGPK was hostile towards IA, but that they seem to be violent in general. I'm also not going to automatically attack Arolte, and I'm well liked by UIT. I just haven't had any good experiences with the IGPK, save Lydia, whom I've fought (in arranged/agreed upon fights) in Sedina B8.

How long ago Holdan. There was once a very nationalistic Serco in IGPK who since moved to CLM. He seemed to spend most of his time doing CTC so ergo, Itani would have been KOS.
It was a few weeks ago. However, having talked to a few people the general consensus, even on 100, was that IGPK was not known for it's peace-encouraging activities.
Eh, whatever.
