From my experiences exporting and encoding with Premiere, at least the 6.5 version, always goes bad for the quality. If you have enough space on your hdd it'd be best to export the timeline uncompressed and then use virtualdub (http://www.virtualdub.org) to compress it. I myself usually use XviD 2-pass encoding.

I had Alamar upload a very very low quality version of the video before momerath had offered to reencode it for me.

I haven't released the link because it's incredibly terrible quality and is still 66MB. For the time and effort that went into this, I'd rather wait to publicly relase it until there is a high quality version available.

There may only be one version of the video available because if things go well, the new high quality version will be a smaller files size than the low quality version. I don't want to take up momerath's time having him reencode different qualities of our little video, so once he finishes with the one I sent him, that may be the only version available. I'm also going to try and use vitrualdub as suggested, but won't have a chance to get to it until later today. That, and I figure that the version done by momerath himself will be better than what I could do =).

Thanks for your assistance momerath, I greatly appreciate it. I really want this video out in a quality/res that does it justice.

I did a quick transcode. I think it turned out pretty well for 40-odd meg. I'm sure I could have gotten better results with an uncompressed original and a little tweaking; maybe I'll put up the 700+M version later.

I made a .torrent and am hosting a tracker at home. Hopefully my business class cable is up for the challenge:)

@momerath: Heh, I experimented with exporting an uncompressed version of the video. The file size was 11GB (!!!!!). Too big to send in any shape or form. Guess Premiere did a better job at compressing than I thought! But I watched the version you reencoded and it looks good to me =)
