As many players are doing Deneb now and clearly want it to be a FAIR battle I propose all Itani stations be removed and make it a true DMZ style war zone so both sides have an equal distance to travel to get to battles.
-1 that's completely against the lore. Deneb was an itani system, why would it lose its stations there?
I'm more inclined towards the stations(except O3) being controlled by whoever wins that week.

In the spirit of 100% fair fights that ITAN seem to be adamant about having, or is it they only want that when they are at a disadvantage? The lore is irrelevant, VO changes.

+1
+1 but modified.
Deneb is a war zone. The stations should be removed and replaced with hacs. The station in O3 should be moved to the otherside of the WH (into EO) BUT the turrets should remain as the next system over is a capital.
Whichever side wins deneb each week should get some well defended HACs in the current station sectors where they can reload and what not. They will act as forward operating bases for the deneb war.

lulz are you really making this suggestion based on guild conflicts?

That's silly, why would there not be forward outposts in a warzone?

If that's the case, itani should be given versions of the prom since clearly it's an OP ship and we are giving up on the lore.

-1. However I propose Serco gets a station as well in Deneb. Same thing, but more convenient for Serco. Give them the same advantage.
I edited a post that was not in keeping with the forum rules.
+1 to we all float idea
Adding a serco station in Deneb seems a good idea.
My vote is make them conquerable in some manner, but I think that's already the plan?
"that's completely against the lore. Deneb was an itani system, why would it lose its stations there?"
You might have missed it, but there's a new strategy that was recently developed in real life warfare. It's called "Blow up your enemy's stuff so they can't have it; neener neener." VO is set 2428 years in the future, so the Serco would definitely be aware of this strategy, and it just so happens that stations filled with enemies sitting smack dab in the middle of a war-zone are prime targets for this kind of blowing-uppity-ness...

There's a lot more stuff that exists in real life that you can't emulate into a game. Its retarded to compare RL to a space sim.
Also is there an existing game mechanic that allows you to blow up stations? no? move on.
i'm all in for making them conquerable. It's much more easier and sensible to implement that than make stations destroyable, or remove stations completely. That was what I replied to this thread, if you would take the time to read before passing your judgement.
You are fighting a nation at its home grounds, of course it is going to have advantages over the invading party. If you want to gain that advantage, you should ensure that your nation wins every week and you gain easy access to skirmishes.

The idea is good. But I agree with making either serco controlled stations in deneb or forward frontline bases that allow us to take mission skirms in deneb. While yes defenders have the advantage. They also have to realize that this is sort of a siege too. And during a siege the attackers always make a beachhead and a forward operations base to allow troops to deploy closer to the battlefield. This isn't a guild conflict suggestion. This is just a long overdue suggestion on balancing the access to deneb and etc
I also agree that the Serco need a station, maybe place it at the wormhole to Serco space.
You guys do know there is a station right across that wormhole? It would take like 10 seconds to fly to it and jump. I would not call that a lack of accessibility.
Well if going through a WH to a station is not a big deal why not remove the existing Itani stations, you'd just have to jump through a WH thats no big deal.
Because again it's against the lore. If we are going against it, then hand over heavy ships to itani.
Deneb is not supposed to be completely fair. It's heavily fortified because of itani having lost two other systems to the serco. It makes complete sense from an RP PoV. If you want EVERYTHING to be fair, everyone should have access to every ship in the game. That would be fair.
We'll just go in circles this way, how is the idea of the two other stations in Deneb being accessible to the winner of the previous week not enticing?

I'm not the one who cried Deneb wasn't fair, ITAN were. So to that end there should be NO stations at all in the actual Deneb system. Or is it clearly a case of "we only want it fair to the point we have the advantage" which seems to be the case.
This is the fastest way to level the current Deneb implementation until it's new vision is brought into actual game play.

Hey whistler, this clearly isn't targeting someone. Or based on some in-game vendetta.
I don't recall Itan whining about Deneb not being fair. We complained about an exploit, it got fixed. As with the rail exploit, as with the countless exploits that GS has fixed.
If you feel that Itani stations in Deneb are an exploit, feel free to address it that way in your post, or save us some drama and create a goddamn ticket.

I am making a suggestion that creates a fair chance for both sides by making a change, that is what suggestions are supposed to be about.
Currently a Serco player has to fly 3k from a station then another 3k form a WH just to return to a skirmish they died in while an Itani player can home in any one of three stations giving them access to return to a skirmish with only a 3k travel time and from one of 3 different vectors.
This clearly gives the Itani side a huge advantage in travel time thus balancing the Deneb skirmishes in their favor. Removing the stations gives both sides the exact same travel requirements to fight in Deneb.
How could you not be in favor of this?
