Incorrect. Try playing from the Serco side and you'll see what we mean. The closest jump to the GR WH puts you 1800, then you have to jump through the WH (time) and then turbo to the station (time) dock, undock turbo back to the wh (time) jump through (time) and then turbo back out. That is far more than 10 seconds. In fact, let me show you how long it takes to get to the WH from the O-4 station.

To put it another way. Say there is an Itani and a Serco doing the same battle. By the time the Serco arrives at the WH to Deneb, the Itani is already back in the battle.
Maybe as a good enough solution for now would be a Serco forward operating base on the Deneb side of the WH to Geira Rutlius. It could just be a copy of some small station elsewhere in Serco space. It shouldn't have a MASSIVE selection, just the common stuff, vultures, hogs, rags and, proms. Probably give it Neutrons, Gauss, Flares, AGT, Swarms, Gemini's and, Stingrays. If somebody wants anything else, it's likely available in O-4 and it's a short hop to just haul a centaur load of whatever oddball weapon over there.
+1. I've always thought the stations present in Deneb were a little odd
I kind of like that idea Look. I would go as far to say that it should be empty except for ECs (so kind of like M7). With zero NFZ and destructible turrets that only respawn ever 30 minutes or so.
That might be going a bit TOO far, but it would still be better then what the Serco have.
I like LNHs version, somewhere to repair and have a selection of basic ships seems fine. It should not be defended by turrets but a bunch of NPCs I guess? Different from the sf as in flying SVGs or basic proms.
I still refuse to believe that a closer station has that a big impact on Deneb results. It doesn't sound bad though if it's combined with making the other 2 stations conquerable.
Can someone take the liberty to make a new thread based on LNHs version?

IF you didn't truely believe it helped you then you would have no issue with the suggestion. As your responses clearly demonstrate you feel the opposite I would say that it is a valid observation.

Serco do get an advantage with their NPC ships having around twice the armour and higher dps than Itami NPC ships. I think that makes up for the longer travel distance a bit. Remember Serco are trying to invade deneb, it’s not supposed to be a grey sector they are both trying to conquer.
And addition of a station that can only be conquered with a mission that appears after a certain number of skirmishes but is otherwise off limits would be interesting. If Serco win they could have it for a week to use as a forward opperating base for a week before it can be attempted to be conquered again.

Wtf are you smoking peypey?
NPC fighters are meaningless in Deneb.
Deneb = cap ships and they are all the same for Serco and Itani.

The Serco proms are able to get off more damage on cap ships than the Itami valks due to their armour and weapon loadout. It’s part of the reason why Serco win the majority of NPC vs NPC skirmishes

With the new ganky npc ai, this means absolutely jack squat. Whichever side loses a few npcs first will get eviscerated by the other side. It is like instant death. Armor means nothing. The npc valk's flares are absolutely devastating against the npc proms.
NPC Proms and NPC Valks both (for the most part) only shoot each other. Only the rags attack cap ships with any consistency.
Sorry guys, we’ve already had this discussion fully fleshed out at least three other times.
@we all float,
there is consistent data the shows the serco NPCs have a large advantage in boarder war skirmishes when no players are involved https://www.vendetta-online.com/x/msgboard/3/35515
I don't understand how you can say "armor means jack all" when all the NPCs do is essentially face each other and spam their weapons, of course the higher armored ship will out last the lower armored one. If you care to read through the thread you can see the battles are in the sercos favor

lol no, they are actually really crappy flares. They deal way less damage than a sunflare.

@peytros I have played it from sides and I can say truthfully that what I wrote is very accurate. I have not seen any so called data to the contrary (that means recorded data, not gripes). And remember just because a mission shows no players in it, doesn't mean there were no players. Every single deneb skirmish on the list could have players taking part but not taking the mission. Which makes using the Deneb page for "data" like that pointless.
@Aryko
The flares chew up the proms just the same as the gats chew up the valks.

@we all float read the whole thread please, it links to the deneb graphs to the deneb stats and how much more itani PC input is needed to turn the tides into the Itanis favor. There’s no point to have a debate of anecdotes as there is actual data to look at.
No it doesn't. There are zero links in that thread.
"What I believe to be unbalanced, is NON PLAYER ASSISTED WINS. Meaning if no human players participate in a battle, SERCO IS MORE LIKELY TO WIN. IF NO H U M A N PLAYERS PARTICIPATED IN A DENEB CYCLE, SERCO HAS AROUND AN 73% CHANCE OF WINNING THE CYCLE. If you check the stats like you claim you do and count, you will see that Serco wins battles in which human players either do not participate, or participate but record less then 5 kills, more often then they lose battles in which human players do not participate."
This is the relevant quote. I have not done any analyses to back this up. But the basic point is that when players do not assist in a battle, serco win about 73% of the time.

@spry the deneb stats only show player assisted wins if a player takes the mission. A player can kill a few bots, swing the result and the deneb stats page will list it as no players taking part.
This is why I said the there is no legit data. I have probobly done hundreds(maybe even thousands) of skirms without taking the mission. As of the latest update, this is much harder, but still doable. most of those battles will show zero player involvement on the deneb stats even though I was there.
