Before anybody spouts more nonsense about the hound being better than other hogs, I want to point out that it has terrible spin-torque. The WTD has 8.0 Nm. The MkI has 7.0 Nm. The Hound has 5.5 Nm. This is a pretty big deal, since not only do you need to rotate the ship to aim, you also have to rotate it to keep the profile small.
I do agree that a small nerf is in order though, after the buff to the turbo.
Counter proposal (with comparison to current Hound in parens):
55m/s max cruise speed (-5)
235N Thrust (-15)
7300 Armor (-950)
12 cu cargo (+9)

Err.. Why the cargo?
Room for just a bit of booty. Not enough to negate the need to come back with a cargo ship after killing a proper cargo transport, but enough to clean up after a CTC transport or to grab just enough cargo to pay the repair bill.
It's also an added risk -- if you accidentally pass through a stack of items during a fight, you could end up with significantly more mass in your hold than with the current 3CU capacity.

+1 to the op... It would be nice to see this imbalance fixed sooner than later
+1 to fixing the Greyhound. It's a chaser, not a fighter.
I'd like to also make a suggestion within this suggestion since in my mind they are related, but really are not:
The hound should also have a built in add on scanner.
Also, I'd like to see some extensive pie graphs illustrating comparisons of the warthog variants with the greyhound with specific cargo types (such as samoflange and Purified Xith (since those are commonly carried cargoes in interceptors), as well as projected outcomes in 1v1 pvp battles with elite pilots of matching skill. Without this information I don't think it's possible to fully comprehend the totality of alteration the hound may or may not need.
We also need utility port add ons, which is my amended suggestion to my off-topic comment that started this post.
And if Deneb isn't changed, Serco will continue to never play, except that if it is changed, Serco will continue to never play.
This is not to say I don't like VO, but why should I have to pay $10 a month for a game when there are so many free games out there?

Yeah, the devs really should fix that bug on the active players graph that shows a bunch of fictional Sercos playing all the time. :P
+1 to Rin's stats. They look fair enough to take it back a notch, while still OK to charge over 100k for it.
I thought the sarcasm in my prior post was quite evident....guess not. You are right, race limitations won't fix anything.
What will fix things though....
Replace the large port with a small port.
Leave every other stat alone. It is still an amazing interceptor. It no longer works for swarm and run. It no longer replaces the rag as a station bomber. It is still a glass cannon that can fire and recharge while chasing.

But I need that port for my pumpkins and megaposis!
For the specific and irrelevant complaint about swarm-and-run, maybe swarms should just be modified to apply concussive force to the person firing them, with the amount of force inversely proportional to the mass and length of the ship. So using them from a smaller ship would make you spin out of control for a moment, giving people more time to attack you, whereas a moth wouldn't even notice.

lol @ nerf-whiners about a Hound with paper armor and the spin-torque of a free bus. Take a stab at the Valk and then worry about this.
Better yet, make it a Tri-KOS faction exclusive item like it was meant to be. Or give it the dual mega-posi only ports it was designed to have...then the mean ole swarms won't getcha!

8250 isn't "paper", and comparing torque between different ship models is totally fucking irrelevant until the devs expose some measure of each model's moment of inertia.
Leave the ports, they're fine. The reason it's used for swarm-and-run is because it's got such a glut of turbo thrust that even with over 3000kg of weapons, it can accelerate faster than VO's autoaim can track, and any other ship can chase. This is why it's an interceptor in a class of its own. No other ship can do this. Period.
What makes it overpowered is that despite being in a class of its own for an interceptor, it still dodges better than any of the other Warthogs save the WTD. This is why it's also a superior fighter, and why it needs to be fixed.
Stop trying to be misleading, Lecter. That shit may have worked from a "what if" perspective before this buff, but people have had 8 months of using this ship in-game to see exactly what's wrong.
As for Valks, they've received nothing but stabs for well over 5 years. Misleading again are we?

lol rin
It's a superior fighter to all other Hogs aside from the WTD...with the WTD being the only combat Hog in the game. Whoopdeefuckingdoo.
You keep mentioning the valk has had all these nerfs. Well it's obvious with 5 nerfs they still don't have it right right. The most op ship in the game is the valk. If they nerf the hound then the valk will just be that more op than it already is, which explains why the itani players are the majority proponents behind this topic. If anything the mid level ships need buffs mainly the IV variants . And if you go by price then the greyhound should be the God of ships but everyone knows that's the valk x1
"comparing torque between different ship models is totally fucking irrelevant until the devs expose some measure of each model's moment of inertia."
I reiterate: The WTD has 8.0 Nm. The MkI has 7.0 Nm. The Hound has 5.5 Nm. These ships are all on the same base chassis, so their torques are perfectly relevant, and the hound's sucks. It can't turn fast enough to track if you have the half a testicle needed to get up close to it instead of hanging way back like a moron. Then you shoot it in the side. Easy.

I'm a trader and I know the hound is the best ship in the game. Fun for pks whether it gets fixed or not.
Here are some pretty graphs so you idiots can understand.
All Masses are with a standard set of weapons.
Valkyrie 2x n2, 1x flare & FC @ 2110kg add on
Warthog Megaposi/flare & fc @ 1610kg add on
Vulture with 2x Neut2 & FC @ 1110 kg add on
Using TURBO THRUST:
Using NOMINAL THRUST:
The hound should NOT be that close to any combat built ship. No way, not when as you can CLEARLY see that it has twice the ratio of most ships for interncepting.
And do not make the argument about empty ships, because NO ONE flies empty ships into combat. Anyone who says otherwise is idiotic.

Don't mislead people with that rubbish, you don't compare 'standard' loadouts. You've got to be shitting me here. You're graphing a Hound that's got 1610kg against a Valk that has 400kg more addon weight than the hound and double the addon weight of the SVG intentionally to mislead people who only look at the graph so they think the valk is significantly worse than it actually is.
I already won all of these arguments thanks to my trusty ship stat ratio comparison app which now everyone can use to compare the base stats of ships instead of relying on your rubbish.
If you choose to use shitty high weight weapons on your valkryie which was designed for awesome light gun combos like the XgX/XgX/LENB combo or the double hiveposi/XgX that is you nerfing your ship not a balance issue. It's the same deal with the hound, you compare with base stats and when you do so, the valkryie/SVG/everyothership blows the base thrust manuverability of the hound out of the water as it is intended to do.
Of course the hound is supposed to be better at straight distances that's its speciality; there's nothing wrong with it.
