Time to lose /explode.

/explode is not what does it, its ramming that does it

One fix would be, if you ram player/s for it not to have any effect on you or the player you or he/she ramed, but if anything else is you would take damage.

Here's a simple solution: Ramming still causes damage, but you only lose standing, or get kill credit if you damaged them with your weapons at some point (without leaving sector/docking etc).

I don't think ram killing would be a big problem in this case, as it would only affect people who fly into a station sector with *very* low health. Just make sure no one flys into you.

If you hit another player from behind, you're at fault. If you change lanes without using your blinker, you're at fault. If you run a red light and hit someone, you're at fault. Don't kill someone and leave the scene, it's a felony. If you hit someone and die in the process, it's your fault. In the case of an accident you must exchange insurance policy numbers with the other party.

Please. This is silly. Yes, it's a pain, but I doubt that it will happen very often. If for some weird reason it becomes epidemic, then maybe something should be done about it. Otherwise, if you see someone flying at you at high speed, and they're smoking out the wazoo, just get out of the way.

lose 10 hours work because one person doesnt like you and uses an exploit that has been known about for a long time but never fixed

in the case of cap ships, it wont just be 10 hours. if the defbots come blow away your cap ship, then we will see how 'little' and 'insignificant' a problem this is.
