I'm not aware of any bugs yet. Please try to keep them here- but also type "/mission bug short-description" as soon as you encounter them when possible.
Thanks!
Thanks!
The bots "got bored and wander off", so suddenly you're left in the sector with no enemies to kill. Then they might come back in droves (15-20), or threes, or not at all. Once I even saw the drones return along with a Xang Xi NPC, who shot them up.
Escorts missions seem much more stable now (not a single one failed me) but I got this bug:

As you can see, minor, but the station name was lost and "Nil" came up instead. Odd.

ZOMG Ponies!
A queen ran from me :'(
And then I think the leviathan and I had a mutual wingbug, but the cargoes never showed up to collect...

Hive Skirmish mission problems:
Bots wander off usually misson computer reports.
Hive queens in missoin sectors cause mission failures.
Hive bots "get bored and wander off".
Bots not being in sector to kill .
Observers count twards mission completion.
Hive bots warping out of storms with out using storm exits.
sorry about the double post I posted in the wron thread last time

wingmen/allies sit there doing nothing.
after killing all bots in sector, nothing happens.

I've been seeing hive bots in WH sectors a lot now...
OK- I just released some fixes. The mission should always end, the xangxi npcs should be more active and not wander off. Also the Hive Mind was under the impression that it won every battle, so it was increasing its presence when *you* won, too; this is fixed.
I still have no earthly idea how hive bots would end up in wormhole sectors- that's what I'm going to investigate now.
Thanks for the reports- keep it up!

heh.. when I first saw them warp out, I thought maybe you'd already put in the "today, Sedina; tomorrow, the galaxy" outward expansion code, mom... I did a triple-take on that one...

..I've taken over ten of the Hive Skirmish missions in both 1.6.2 and 1.6.3; I have yet to have one finish...
- in the new version, I tried one where I cleared the sector totally (only a few bots there, anyhow).. I tried to wait at least five minutes to see if it would complete, but it didn't
- I've taken one in a Levi sector (25+ bots IIRC) and managed to clear a lot of them, but then all the rest except the levi warped out on their own... I managed to kill one of its turrets before the dreaded "we've suffered too many losses" message
- just a few moments ago I took another one in a Levi sector; I managed to kill the first three bots before an Overseer kamikazed me to death.. as I was on my way back I got the "too many losses" again :C
--I know you're working hard on this mom, and I appreciate it; just thought these might be helpful :D :D

Yeah. Thanks for hosing me on the Border skirmish mission when you reset it.
The leviathan ran away from me today... TWICE. We'll be fighting it, then all the bots jump out, and a few seconds later it says we've taken too many losses... the levi sits there alone for 5 minutes or so (not enough time to kill it) then jumps out to one of the WH sectors.
Thanks for the reports, everyone!
I've just released some fixes. Some of them address bugs reported here, and some *may* fix other reported events that I haven't been able to reproduce. A few details can be had here.
So, I'm going to optimistically assume that it's all working now:) Please report any experiences to the contrary.
Thanks again!

I also just found the bug that was causing the Levi to warp out, (ending all hive-skirmish missions too). Now the only reported wonky behavior that I still have no idea about is Hive bots actually in the sedina wormhole sectors. So, if anyone sees that happen, I definitely want a report about it; the bots' names might help.
My missions tended to end after I got 3 kills. When I took the mission, it had the "last reported count" of bots at 5. However, there were always 20+ bots in the mission sector. And the bots still attack you one at a time. Those that aren't attacking just sit there- they don't fly around or try to mine.
after playing some missions last night, here's my impressions...
The Hive still get the 'park & wait' mentality..ie: you can target a bot, fly in and waste it before it will even turn around and shoot you.
The friendly bots will do the same thing - I was targeted by two bots, right next to a couple of friendly bots. They just sat there and watched me fight...
The queens still don't fight back - I wasted two last night (in one mission!!!) and they never shot at me.
That's about all I noticed last night... But I still think it would be neat if there was some kind of counter, so you could tell how many enemy have been killed vs how many friendly have been kill - this could be used in the BP missions as well. That way you have a guage of how the mission is going...
*edit* one other 'bug/feature' - I cleared out K-7 last night, and before I had time to warp out, the mission was back again - as in, I got the 'mission succesful' message, and 35+ bots warped in. I went back to the station, and there was a mission for K-7 already... maybe you could change the mission respawn time to make it spread out a little more? (say 30 minutes as opposed to 30 seconds...)

Here's one: you have too many friendlies, and not enough enemies...
When you take the mission, you will end up wasting all the opposition, and sitting bored in the sector full of Xang-Xi ships waiting for the next hive bot to jump in. The hive bots don't jump in frequently enough, so the mission is long, boring, and frankly, I wasn't able to finish one in an hour.
Here's another REALLY weird bug I encountered, and it happened every time the conditions were applicable, meaning it wasn't a momentary fluke:
NPC rockets will fly THROUGH the hive bots without impacting, detonating, or damaging the bots. Whether it's a wraith or Hog firing the rockets, the rockets will pass right by it, sometimes, flying directly into the underside of the hive bot, passing through the model, and out again on the other side, to soar off into space. Usually the bots were a good 200 or more meters from the ship firing the flares, so it's not an arming distance issue.

LEVI targetting bug:
Yesterday I saw 2 Xang-Xi bots were shouting at the levi, I get closer and realised that they were shouting at nothing.
A while after, I took a bomber with swarms, targeted the levi, then shoot at it, and you know what? my swarms explode in the space and never hit the levi.
It seems that the Levi target is outside of the Levi colision mesh... do something for it please.

I already told Momerath, Graig :)
