Yes, we need an all encompassing, definitive definition of the term "VETERAN" please.

And that definition needs to be based on experience rather than how long they have played.

Veteran: somebody who is seen as 'impressive' by atleast 80% of the other players (if they see him/her).. maybe something like that?

So, go around. All start your in-sector poll and find out how much find YOU impressive ;)

Ummm... No? A vet is someone who's been around for a while, and is experienced. An ace is someone who's good at combat, and is probably also a vet...

There's a list...... of course, that took 5 seconds and is off the top of my head.

I'm a veteran though I don't consider myself an ace. I also don't play anymore.

I am considered a vet by most players I know well enough in the game to have either fought with or alongside, but I think my fighting skillz went out the t00bs with the swarm of 3.2/3.3 pirates forcing me to kind of stay in hiding most of the time.
