Me too. Well, not ambient/chillout, but a lot of good Irish stuff, mellow stuff from movie soundtracks (Elliot Goldenthal is the best), a cool album that's Christopher O'Reilly playing piano versions of Radiohead, a lot of Enya and Maríe Brennan, and my favorite Irish group: Anúna. Most my songs, since I have iTunes moderate them and I reset the playcounts a few months back and I have a lot of music, are approaching playcounts of 8 or 9. All my mellow songs, since I sleep to them and they play all night, are approaching 19 and 20. I don't like them twice as much, they just play all night.
Tha Shiznit- Snoop Dogg

Most Nine Inch Nails songs. Right now it's either Right Where It Belongs or the live version (feb. 2007) of We're In This Together.

Free Bird
Tonight, Tonight by the Smashing Pumpkins,
Butterflies and Hurricanes by Muse,
Or maybe
To Be Free by Emilíana Torrini, mostly for the chorus:
"It shouldn't hurt me to be free
It's what I really need
To pull myself together
But if it's so good being free
Would you mind telling me
Why I don't know what to do with myself"

I should say Dark Center of the Universe by Modest Mouse.
You Know You're Right - Nirvana
Repulsion - Dinosaur Jr.
Dead Womb - Death From Above 1979
Once/Yellow Leadbetter/Porch - Pearl Jam
It was hard narrowing it down to those six, any farther than that is almost impossible.

I can't believe I didn't weigh in on this post before.
Favorite song ever? Like, as in I can listen to it over and over and over and over and still not hate it and never ever ever get tired of it?
Creeping Death, Ride the Lightning Album, Metallica.
Yeah, even as a 36-year old fat white guy you can still catch me at the Metallica concerts, waiting until the last song of the night (almost inevitably Creeping Death), and screaming "Die By My Hand" with the entire stadium. If they're still touring 5, 10, 25 years from now I'll still be there screaming with 'em.

If I let iTunes decide, "Vaudeville Villain" by Viktor Vaughn aka MF Doom comes first.
"Schism" (Tool), "The Speed of Pain" (Marylin Manson) and "Astronomy" (Metallica version) are not far behind.

Hurt is pretty cool, I actually prefer the Johnny Cash version. I wasn't interested when I heard he covered it, since I can't stand his music (though I admire his talent), but once I heard it, I couldn't stop playing it. I like how he replaced "crown of shit" with "crown of thorns." It's much more meaningful, and doesn't offend my friends.
More good ones. I'm not the most emotional person, but if there was a song that would make me tear up, half of Selmasongs by Björk would do the trick (even though the movie sucked):
Overture
I've Seen It All (with Thom Yorke)
Scatterheart
New World
Incredibly powerful, emotional soundtrack, deep meaningful lyrics, sad yet hopeful. So good I watched the movie, then I was mad and had to listen to the soundtrack again to be sure I wasn't crazy.
