Ok, so I assume you're asking what is everyone's favorite song?

I can't narrow it to one. Perhaps "Rooster" by Alice in Chains, "Tonight, Tonight" by the Smashing Pumpkins, "Today Has Been OK" by Emilíana Torrini, "New World," "Scatterheart," or "I've Seen It All" by Björk (all from Selmasongs), or "Seemann" (Rammstein song) as covered by Apocalyptica and Nina Hagen.

There are many more, but at the moment those are the songs I can think of that I could listen to forever and not get tired of.

Good Call on You Know You're Right, Touriaus. My favorite Nirvana is "Something in the Way," followed closely by "Half the Man I Used to Be" and "Plateau." As for the Chili Peppers, I know there're no words, but "Pretty Little Ditty." It reminds me of the soundtrack to "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly," which is one of my favorites (I love movie soundtracks, Final Fantasy (the movie) by Elliot Goldenthal is a masterpiece).

"Redemption Song" by Bob Marley is one to add to the list, as is "If Six Was Nine" and "Little Wing" by Jimi Hendrix (my favorite musician of all time).

Not totally off topic, but....

I wonder if it would be possible ot make a list on the iTunes store that is a complete collection of every song that is a favorite of a person in the VO community. On the other hand, my contribution would be on the order of at least 1000 songs, and that's if I keep it to just the very favorites.

My previous list should have included "Anywhere," easily the best song recorded by Evanescence (unless we hear something better in a couple weeks....). If you don't know this one, it's on her long out-of-print 2000 album, "Origin." Amazing lyrics, great tune, my favorite by an amazing band.
