Okay, I need to add a third and fourth option...

1) Since the armor and firepower of a Valkyrie resemble that of an attack ship, make Valkyrie agility in between that of the Vulture and Hornet. This is assuming it's meant to be balanced with "normal" ships, which it probably isn't.

2) Make the Valkyrie special by further implementing the rarity of special ships.

3) Since the Valkyrie/Sunflare combination may be the biggest problem, change sunflares or the Valkyrie's ability to carry them. We're assuming that in an energy fight, the Valk's large size and the Vulture's slimness would balance out the Valk's edge in agility and armor. Changes to rockets have had and will presumably continue to have their own very long discussions...

4) Do nothing. The dev's plan for balance in this game may not be realistically implemented at this stage. It's difficult for us to to experience the temporary imbalance, but we are testers who are playing for free.

Maybe the mission system in 3.3.x will help out with option 3.
