I fixed the exploit for the next update.

He scripted his own "equip engine" button and was playing around with ships and engines all day today. Of course, he was not annoying people or abusing the bug for personal gain, just telling people how mixing up things made the ships behave.

Yeah, I couldn't see spuck abusing something.

Well, actually, thats not true...He made me issue by flying in front of my rockets a few times ages ago. But that was awesome :D

Jex said spuck used binds to unequip and equip engines. So, theorhecticly, it would work the other way around.

Oo Oo OOOOO!!! What do Moth and Prom2 respectively do when equipped on an IDF Valk!?!?! Both would give it at least 500N of force and a spin torque increase - moth is *19*!!

IIRC, the engine made the moth 225 but ran out of batt (UC) when it hit 220, plus it handled as if full of samoflange. It wasn't so bad on the Prom, but still it was not amusing.

No, jex, other way around. Not Valk engine in Moth/Prom -- put Moth/Prom engine in Valk!!!

Other great engines:
Atlas X, Prom2/3/4, moth, valk, tunguska taur, orion hornet, corvus vult.

A moth with an orion hornet engine would infini boost 220.
A valk with a moth engine would be a point and click killer.

A bus with an IDF valk engine is fun!

From the sounds of it there needs to be a retroactive deletion of any ships that might be "altered". Is this possible? Or are a lot of people going to have access to possible uber ships for a long time?

yesterday, i found that after buying an IDF valk, i got an engineless ship and unable to launch.
The same screen.
Had to buy another ship.
The engine is on hold?
Is this a bug, then?

This is the end of the Deneb Run.

Except, softy2, that the LUA fix is in place and you can't unequip/equip engines anymore. So the Deneb Run isn't going to be effected, as you can't switch engines anymore.

But, I can all but guarantee that there is a surplus of modded ships in existance. I don't quite know how the devs would go about enacting my previous suggestion.
