We don't have company insurance, although we'd like to someday. Some of us carry personal insurance though. Some of us are married and on our spouse's insurance.
Ack. As an occasional roadie and mtn biker, I truly feel for your gf and you as a caregiver (been over the handle bars many a time on the trail w/some scars). I wish you both good health and fortitude.
To all of those cyclists that I see on the road wearing black or dark colored jerseys, wake the frack up and put on some visible clothing. Throw an LED flasher on yer bike while you are changing the shirt, too. Some accidents aren't preventable. Many are.
Perhaps the Galactic Medical Group can send over one of its hospital constellation cappies. I hear that they have incredible rehab tanks. :-)
