I can't even imagine what that must have felt like. Spend all the time you need with your girlfriend, Inc... I'm sorry to hear about the accident but I'm also glad to hear she's okay. That really sounds like a miracle.

Thanks for all the good wishes everyone. I got her home from the hospital tonight, which was a bit of a logistical process, but a very cool step towards recovery. I read her some of the responses on here, and we both really appreciate the support. Thanks again.

Ive seen a fair number of accidents involving 18-wheelers as im along one of the major routes between philly and seen many cars turned into balls of metal and plastic with the people inside ground to pieces first time ive ever heard of a pedestrian surviving with (relitivley) minor injuries. hopefuly she will recover quickley

I've been there (lived in a wheelchair for a while, and have broken nearly every type of bone there is)... there is going to be some tough times ahead... but I am so thankful that your girlfriend fared as well as she did.

Ouch. Talk about painful. I hope she recovers quickly. I know what it's like to be hit by a car, though in my case, it was a sedan, so I can sympathize with her a bit. She's lucky to be alive!
