Here's another bug:

Open up a console and type any command (/msg), but put a space before the slash (" /msg moo moo"). LUA error!

Just an update: The Hive Hunt sectors that were causing my client to crash contained Leviathans. Has anybody tested the new client with a stronghold sector?
Jan 31, 2006 Shapenaji link
I think my only real problem with the new client is the lengths that you now have to go through to buy and equip a ship. Too many tabs.

I also find it odd that the new client does not show the equipment on the ship when you're browsing your ships at that stations. The old one had this functionality.

When you have 3 different layouts of hogs sitting there, its annoying to select a ship, then check equipment, then go to the next one, check equipment, etc...

If I have a specialized vulture (AKA one with axia posis) it can take a while to find it.

Also, not sure if this is something fixed already, but I just tried the new Client. Neither the energy bar, nor the velocity bar showed up, also the echo command didn't work. When I switched between FA-on and FA-off, there was no notification.

EDIT:
Almost forgot, I had a question about presets. Are those saved per station? or globally?

Would be easier if they were for each station, since, more often than not, if you rehome, they won't have any of the same equipment.

Problem with delivery mission. This popped up after accepting one of them:

This is more a question:

Was it intentional that the cockpits of the Vultures and Warthogs became angular instead of rounded?

I personally prefer them rounded.

Ooops, my post is now way too much away, so I'll post the bug pictures here:

I'm upgrading now to 10.4.4 will see if it does something
Jan 31, 2006 raybondo link
If it still has a problem, write down all the available video modes your desktop supports and all the video modes VO3 is displaying.
There may not be any matches between the two and VO3 would then fail. However, does VO2 still work? And if so, which video mode did it choose?

The client does not seem to agree with Leviathan sectors. Upon entering one, the client crashed. When trying to log on again, it continues to crash, the old client does not. This does not happen when the sector is cleared of bots and only the ring remains.

@ RAY

I am in 1440 x 900 ( 16/9 like)
can support:
640x480
640x480(extended)
800x500
800x600(+1 extended)
1024x640
1024x768(+1 extended)
1152x720
and 1440 x 900

I hope you was talking about that... ( im not english and could just not get your point)
Jan 31, 2006 raybondo link
That's what I wanted.

I made a mistake in my request. Since you can't run VO3 you obviously can't tell me what modes VO3 is displaying.

What video modes does VO2 show as being available?
Jan 31, 2006 mdaniel link
shape, I agree with you. too complicated, and too many tabs. I posted this before.
Jan 31, 2006 tumblemonster link
I agree as well. I had a long discussion about this with Mystic. There is no linear workflow through the UI. You have to go back and forth a lot to make something happen. For example, to purchase and equip a new rag, you have to take 9 trips back and forth across the screen, accessing two tabs on the left, 4 subtabs on the right, and 3 equipment lists again on the left. The greatest improvement you could make to the UI is to put the subtabs and the main tabs on the same side of the screen. Following that, put all the ships and equipment on the same tab. Until we can actually load weapons and equipment as cargo, it has no place in the commerce tab.

bug 1: trying to rescale my hud so that the font gets a bit bigger at reslution of 768 / 1024

Bug 3:

update on missioncomplete doesn't happen untill you reentered the station, meaning you have to exit the station after you just finished and received the reward from your previous mission before you can actually take another mission.

Bug 4

the credits you possess don't show up in the hud, so in its normal place. (the credits - mass box). I first thought that i wasn't getting my cashrewards, but it is prolly just a reference that doesn't pan out. EDIT: after some more testing i noticed that it did count the money received from combatmissions and fightin in general but it didn't add the money received from trademissions

Loading and unloading of cargo doesn't always update immediately. Meaning if you do a load of x units, then it doesn't show up on the the cargo view as what you have loaded. While trying to load something else outputs the error your cargohold is already full.

but even after 3 mins, the cargo still doesn't show up in your cargooverview within stationmenu.

EDIt also seems that if you targetted a piece of cargo that you then receive a bit of lua errorcode. (but this was known), however after you pick up that cargo their seems to be a leftover visual particle (same as the cargo you see flying around in space but without the cannister within it)

EDIT 2

In the buy ship menu, it would be consistent if you made the things you couldn't buy red. It is already like that for the description of the item in question, but not for the item itself. Meaning

EC88 (white)
- description (white)
EC101 (white)
- description (white)
Cent (white)
- description (white)
Cent mk2 (white)
- description (white)
vult mk1 (red)
- description (red)

in stead of this

EC88 (white)
- description (white)
EC101 (white)
- description (white)
Cent (white)
- description (white)
Cent mk2 (white)
- description (white)
vult mk1 (white)
- description (red)

EDIT3

cost of replenishing of ammo doesn't show up in the golden like text. In stead you only see ???c. The amount has no bearing on the number of ?'s.

EDIT4

during the buying of a warthog i received the next lua warning:

vo/if_station_tab2.lua:829: attempt to index a nil value

Seems like i broke it ... according to the client i'm still flying a wraith but with the looks and statistics of a warthog, what is causing all these problems as highlighted above. Seems the coding from buying a ship when you already had one has some bug in it and doesn't create a new one, but just overwrites the old one.

Solution : exit the client completely and restart, it bandaids the problem and you can enjoy the game further.

Once again, the beta version had come to an end. Autumn leaves skittered across the ground, borne by the chill wind down from the mountains. Billy Mouse was just leaving for school, and Mrs. Mouse bustled about, getting Billy's lunch packed. "Don't forget your hat!" cried Mrs. Mouse, dashing towards him as he walked out the door. "Thanks, ma!" he replied, pulling the door closed behind him.
