@rattman, QT high definition looked absolutly horrendous, because of the amount of movement. I'd personally only ever use any quicktime codec if it was for *real life* video, that was going to be streamed onto the web. I chose mpeg 1, with a quantize martix suitable for CG/Animation, which made the file a little larger (58m), but which also meant you could see the ships a little better.
OMG this movie just ROKCS !!!!!! A M A Z I N G
i love the music ( starship troopers? ) and the voices are terribly immersives
great job to all of you.

/me agrees with Ion.
My favorite shot: the final extreme wide shot with the prom and valk boosting toward each other.
Oh, and love the accent, Screwball! lol I kept on thinking "die, rebel scum." Is that your natural voice or did you adopt that accent?

Actually, I was the pilot of the vulture, not the voice actor. I've edited my post to be more clear now.
Atan Yomane was that great voice.

That was incredible.
I have always loved that track from starship troopers
The battle footage was awesome and the voice acting didnt sound cheesey as it has in some cases in some Wing Commander Projects I have tried.
I look forward to future movies

Wow , excellent stuff......congrats all round......

I guess so ^^. Maybe you might want to re-record the sounds, or attempt to resue the same sounds at varying levels of bass and volume., or even request them from the devs?
must have had some issue with the sound... didn't hear -any- music when I finally got it to play (PITA). Voice acting was good, but I could barely hear the prom pilot... at all.
Liked the cinematography though.

Hmm, not sure what went wrong cunjo, but there should be a soundtrack to just about the entire video.
Atan rocked. :P
I agree, though, you could barely hear the Prom pilot. :S
Good stuff all 'round though. :P Inspires me to try something... >:D

Finally gotten a chance to see it (about 30 hours after I DLed it, don't ask) I sincerely have to say I shouldn't have bothered; it's just up to par with all previous efforts. Mad props to the prom voice guy for being nearly unintelligible, though considering how cliche the rest of the lines were, I don't think much's missed.
I showed it to my brother, and when it ended he goes "how did the valk surprise the vult when you have radar?!" Surprising that everyone of us who play this game overlooked that only to be immediately caught by someone who only knows it from glancing over your shoulder from time to time.

Ah, what an explosive thread.
It was a great video. The music selected was perfect. It inspires me, myself, to make a video as well, but I have no time. Keep up the good work.

Beautiful work, Ghost. Finally got to see at work this morning. Again, sorry about delaying things, but the results were great. Reminds me how much I miss the adrenaline rush from VO while I'm out of the country.
I'd love to help out with Leber's project, if the timing is right.
Ciao,
Nerde

Hehe... yeah, me too. Hey Lebes! When/where? You have my email... :)~
Haha, good point, Jex...
Maybe the video is preparing for the time that we get radar occlusion (I think that's term) ;)

Nice. Very nice.
I must say that the voice recordings could have been of higher quality. But... that's usually something that cannot be helped due to using whatever tech you have at the time.
Multi-fighter fire-fights do look quite nice... very nice and tasty.
Prom pilot was kind of hard to hear... but I caught most of what he was saying. "Speak softly and fly a big, nasty Prom?"

Jex, thanks for your criticism. Now go make a better one.
Ghost and Co, my hat goes off to you. The video you produced is a work of art. The bar has been raised by you and I look forward to seing all the videos that will be produced by players you have inspired.
3 Cheers!

Ghost, if I were into making videos, and had the time, I would. As it is, I'm perfectly happy watching the ones people make and voicing my opinions on them.
Wow, Ghost (and all the others who have helped). That is an amazing piece! I just watched it for the third time in a row. ;) Thumbs up!
