This is a really amazing bit of machinimation! I just encoded a 40 meg version, because Ghost has had a hard time getting it down to a reasonable size. The quality could definitely be better, but it's good enough for now. At some point, hopefully, someone will take their time encoding from the raw output and get better results.
I'm hosting the tracker at home. Please leave your bittorrent client seeding when you're done, so my connection remains usable.

You need to use a BitTorrent client (eg: Azureus, BitTorrent, BitTornado, etc...) to download the 40MB video file.
So Momerath... What is the codec for the vid (downloading at 0.0KB/s, so I might as well ask now).

It's a bittorrent file. You need a client like Azureus: http://azureus.sourceforge.net/
It allows everyone downloading the file to help with uploading to others. Once you have a client, it should just be a matter of choosing to open the .torrent file with the client application. Or, if you can't seem to get that to work, just save the .torrent file, find it and double click it. That should definitely work for at least azureus on windows.

I'm really not getting any download. Are you sure that your firewall is open and all? I just used BT to download the beta client, so I know it's not my end.
Holy crap - what crazy kind of encoding is this? I can't get it to play on anything... Not even Final Cut Express.
I'm seeding the file, btw, but looks like there's only one downloader.

Several people already have the whole file rogue. 9 actually.
Hrmm. I didn't think compatibility would be a problem It's just a bog standard divx/mp3 .avi. I didn't test it on windows, I'll do that.
Edit: runs fine in VLC under windows.

Hmm. There it goes. Apparently, the beta BT client doesn't like having two downloads running at once. Which is odd, because in Preferences, I enabled "Always Start the Torrents in Parallel". Oh well. 450KB/s...
I've tried a ton of different players (about 9 now), and the only one that seems to work is VLC. I'll see if I can make a more compatible version...
Well, IMHO every windows user should have VLC anyway. http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
But if you think you can make it more compatible, still a reasonable size and not look like crap, go for it.
Edit: the latest vlc and mplayer versions are reported to work on all platforms.

Doukutsu and Lord Q: The file that initially downloads is a BitTorrent file. This tells the BitTorrent client (examples listed above) to connect to Michael's computer and download "Vendetta! The Trailer.avi".
You'll need a .avi compatable viewer to play it. Some of these for Macs are "VLC" or "Flip4Mac". Windows Media Player should work for that platform.
[edit] having said that, I am unable to get the file to work with either:
VLC (main: no suitable decoder module for fourcc `FMP4'. VLC probably does not support this sound or video format.)
or Quicktime Player.
[edit2] got it working on MPlayer... thanks Rogue.

Interesting.....
I'm not getting any video with VLC.
Getting Audio though.

new version works

You need the DivX codec installed. Once that's installed, pretty much any native player (Windows Media Player, QuickTime, gstreamer-based Totem, etc) will be able to play the file. It works fine on gstreamer with the default set of plugins.
Is it the latest version? I used a very recent mencoder to encode it, and it seems it isn't compatible with some older versions of vlc and mplayer.
Thx for your help momerath, and I'm glad you enjoyed it =). There are obviously a few things I would have liked to clean up in the editing, but I thought it turned out alright for not actually being able to speak with all the voice actors in person, not to mention having everyone recording separately.
I tried the virtualdub thing as well, it still came out to over 70MB, so I think this is the only way it's going to be viewed unless someone wants to tinker with it. Didnt work on Windows Media Player for me either though from the download. If someone wants to make a more compatable version, you're more than welcome to. But I think if you just download VLC, it should work fine. Plus VLC will be a good tool for any comp to have anyways.
I want to extend credit real quick to all the people who helped out. This was a community effort and there were a good number of people involved. I appreciate everyone's eagerness to participate.
Edit: Quality looks good Momerath, thanks! And it worked fine for me with VLC. Those who don't have it can download it here: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ Make sure you get the latest version.

RelayeR - yah, I'm aware. I have all the latest codecs and a lot of different players - I just can't get it to play in anything but VLC. I'm not too terribly familiar with VLC, but I'll see if I can convert the file into an easily playable quicktime format.
Edit: bummer. Looks like I'll need the original file.

WOW THAT ROCKED HOLY O_O
I encoded it using an opensource program (mencoder). Perhaps it is some odd opensource version of mpeg4 rather than divx (which was originally an illegal hacked vers of a MS codec) as I thought I read in the man page. Since VLC is opensource and includes the codecs that it uses in the package...
Blaaagh, no bittorrent for me :(
Eh, can't you find someone to host it on the 'net?
or, add it in the download's page...
