Thats right, a VO convention. After only playing VO for a few months I want to meet a few other players and thought that others would want to do the same. I'm not talking anything big and fancy just a bunch of us getting together over some weekend next summer. I say summer because then more of the younger crowd still in school can find a way to come too. In game there was suggestions of cities in the midwest and on the east coast. St.Louis and the like are good for those in the US but east coast is better for our fellow Euro players. Then Milwaukee and the Devs were braught up.

I'm not guaranteeing anything but I would like to see if others are interested. Any good suggestions are welcome and wanted.

I'd be more inclined to do something near Milwaukee/Wauwatosa for the simple reasons of the Devs being able to get there easily as well as being able to deal with any problems that might crop up with a massive "LAN" party that might occur.

Shape, tell him that a VO convention would probably fit in my living room and that until we have a larger user base, it doesn't have much purpose.

Tell him that we can meat people in-game, though.

Tell him I still wont talk to him.

Maybe we could just all get together at a convention or something. Go out for beer or whatever. Barring a disaster, the next con I'll be at will be PAX* in August of '06. Anyone VO'er who wants in is welcome, and maybe we could get a Dev or two, eh?

I'm up for it in the Milwaukee/Twin Cities/Chicago area. I'm too poor & lazy to go meet the people behind the alts in a different city, although I would like to meet Smittens in real life and give him a decent noogie.

I owe Momerath a beer anyway, so I vote for a convention in Milwaukee. Perhaps we'll just go have our beer somewhere nice near the office and call it the "Inaugural VO-Con 2005". Heh. I'll make T-Shirts.

I think this is a good idea. I would like it to happen in California (I live here) but any
place with beer and Tequila (and pizza) would be fine, even Milwaukee!! But I hope
it would NOT be in winter...

I would suggest over the summer, and I still maintain that Milwaukee/Wauwatosa is the best place for practicality reasons.

Yeah I think hijacking another con is the only option.

I like the idea in practice, but there is NO way in tarnation I could
a) get my parents to drive me to Milwawkee
b) get me a plain ticket to whereever the convention is
c) save enough money for a plain ticket
d) convince my parents to let me go, (hate to break it to you Leber, but your Nemi is a 13 year old) :D
