heh, i'm close enough to milwaukee (its only a 14 hour drive, i've done that before when Gen-Con was held there) that if you give me enough notice I might be able to make it. :)

Softy, I don't want to be, and really, never wanted to be a physicist. Sure, a degree in physics would be nice, and a PhD would certainly make me happier, but really, what are your options in the world of physics? You either dive off into the deep end of the toilet and study the theology of modern theoretical physics or end up building bombs for the government. I'm don't have enough of an imagination for one and despise the second.

Please, next time you want to try and put me down, find something a wee bit more potent than the shortcomings of your own career; a career I honestly have no interest in.

Find another event that would interest your parents to draw them to Milwaukee like SummerFest or the Harley Davison festival. Then say "While we're in the area mind if we go to the Research Park near the zoo?"
