nahh, i sure as hell cant afford a trip to paris.. lol besides, if i was going to paris my wife would want to come along, i can probably leave her behind if i'm going to milwaukee tho. :)

Heh... I've been into Milwaukee several times... and other places surrounding the area... I'd be up for "down unda", too... but now that the "fly-a-bouts" have pretty much gone the way of the dinosaur... well, Martin would have to hook me up with a local airport willing to turn me loose in one of their aero-machines... so I could strafe his place proper... humm... I'd like to see the new offices upstairs... I can just hear Borb now... "Hey, pick me up on yer way..." (like I would *normally* head South to go North)... One thing is for certain... I'm not going anywhere near Shape if he's wearing that thong... it's simply a matter of principle.

someone mentioned the Penny Arcade Expo as a possible venue...having gone to it over the summer it is definitely a fun place to go and has the right crowd for a game like VO. it would be a great place to do some killer marketing and its a really fun time for everyone. i drove out to seattle from milwaukee and it was totally worth it.

Hey incarnate and others were talking about this about 2 days ago. Yea, we should do this. Hopefully in 2 or 3 years VO will be popular enough for this to be feaseable.

If the convention is as big as the current active players list you all can meet in some roadside motel hehe....

It's 50 players active at one time. The subscriber base is larger.

You can all crash in my backyard if it's in Milwaukee-area. Bring tents and a port-a-potty.

Tell ya what.. If you guys want to do some summer stuff (beautiful sandy beaches) and perhaps see some historical sites (old victorian-era homes under monstrous oak trees, WW2 battlship and submarine (USS Alabama, and USS Drum), Sr-71 spy plane up close and personal, along with many other aircraft (all at Battleship Park). May I humbly suggest doing it in Mobile, AL. We're a 30min ride from all the Gulf coast casinos in MS as well.

Not to mention several civil war forts in the area that are open for touring, perhaps catch a re-enactment of the battle of Mobile Bay (the one where farragut said Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead) I will also take whoever wants to go, to the hometown of the author of the book Forrest Gump. :)
