Wow. This thread goes on forever, but it has some good discussions on it too. Does this [Syn] thing exist anymore? Don't think I've seen too many of them around. Its a good idea, but guess nobody kept it going. Probably won't work very well with the whole colored nation thing. Maybe the devs could put some sort of pirate system in the game - at least give it to one of the nations or something (which nation was supposed to be the 'pirate nation'?)... Like the ability to send out some sort of automated message to the ship you're about to pirate- and giving them a choice to jettison or be destroyed... Maybe you could make some pirate bot fleets with this ability? Just a suggestion. One more suggestion: Devs should implement some sort of -Don't bump- feature so this thing doesn't go all the way to the top of the forums...

Right now, i don't think it would be a good idea to creat a pirate guild. Such a guild would instantly dominate the game and wipe out all compition, newbies would never make it. Traiding would become next to impossible.
When there are enough people, and the game engine has advanced far enough to allow for escorts and convoys, then a pirating guild would be a cool idea. As it would be a very realistic system, Heavaly protected convoys agianst the pirate raiders. It works.

Yeh, where'd Haz go to? Is he supposedly still the head of this whole syndicate thing? Whats his characters' names... anybody know? Maybe they could move the whole syndicate to the neutral race? Since it is supposedly the 'pirate race?' Or am I wrong? I guess a race doesn't really become true neutral until they are lacking certain components that nations have: like the flag and the inability to shoot one another's ships. Who knows where the whole thing will go, because it all depends on what the developers finally decide to do...
