Are serco or any race "Homo Sapians"?
A few too many jess? heh
One think you should remember, Serco use biological enhancements, so maybe *homo sapian-advance* but still *human* :P

Acually as i was thinking about it and I don't think Itani are "human” anymore either. We live a couple hundred years. Are we still "homo sapiens"? or 3 distinct species. The UIT might be closest to “human” but what about the Serco and Itani?
JB
PS and just opened my 8th beer but its still a valid question :)

Itani = human
UIT = human
Serco = chicken
;)

;)
Itani = best served flare fried. :P
All three nations are "homo sapiens-sapiens", the same species. Each nation may by now belong to a distinct race, though.
The Serco have physiology(sp?) and metabolism adapted for stamina, survivability and to accept biotechnical implants easily.
The Itani have increased synaptic responses and a nervous system to match due to their diet mostly, which logically has evolved with their lifestyle. The fight between the Itani and Serco Leaders, where the Itani could match the Serco's enhanced speed (something no one could do when all three groups lived in Terra II) suggests this. Their lifestyle, changing to accommodate their "monastic" training and outlook, has had to have repercusions on their bodies over the centuries, just like the japanese diet of mostly fish and rice have made them into one of the longest-lived groups on Earth.
Finally, the UIT may have evolved to better withstand the effects of living in space. Even with artificial gravity to offset most of the problems, things like limited resources (inside a station) and somwehat-constant-if-accidental exposition to things like space-radiation leaks and stuff like that should have made the UIT (through survival of the fittest)highly-resistant to radiation (within certain limits), their eyes might also be more resistant to intense light, and their ability to visually and cope in a full 3-D environment (space, as opposed to the usual 2-D of a planet's surface)should surpass those of the other two races. More compacts bodies and the organs being closer to help preserve core temperature are also a possibility.

SO no one is still "Homo Sapiens: anymore :( I still think the UIT are the closest to sill being "HUMAN"
No, Jestatis, there's no "homo sapiens" anymore. They were killed a while back, some time after the Ice Age ended, by our ancestors, the first "homo sapiens-sapiens".
NON-ROLE PLAYING= We right now are still homo sapians. and Humans on earth in the back story are.
But thats false we as people are still considered "homo sapians".
WHAT ARE WE NOW in the "Future"?

Yay, RelayeR for teh win!
maybe we are all meat and i don't really want to start a flame war i want to know what u really think
(again non-roplaying and off topic: i saw modern marvals and saw a leg and i thought it really was a leg of lamb but it was a human leg and yes meat is meat but that is not my rp question)

I'm Serco. I like to think of my self as a human made better through machines and genetic manipulation.
And you, your drunk.
And you, your drunk.
and you are not "Human" or homo spaien either...
I am the enemy of your dreams.
Your nightmares and visions.
I am beyond all your propaganda.
All those subtle forms of derision.
I am coming for you in the morning.
Or as the evening light goes down.
I am coming for you in the open.
Or in some crowded town.
I have my brothers and weapons.
My inner intensity is bright.
I can be sudden destruction.
Or hide out in plain sight.
I am BLAK.

I am BLAK.
But are you REAL?
But are you REAL?
Do I need to be?
Even though it seems you may be drunk...;) I like the question you pose. The answer I think depends on the context of your question. Are you asking spiritually? Physically? or Mentally?
Just looking at the latin meanings of the words here are my definitions.
All three races are Homo Erectus. Humans walking upright.
The word Sapien though is latin for a Wise Man or Philosopher. That fits more with Itani Culture then does the other 2 races. So if you want to get technical then Itanis are Homo Sapiens.
But then the question is posed, what defines a wise person? That I can't answer since its a very vague meaning and can interpreted widely.
Are all of them human? From the limited reading I've done here I would say so. They all came from the same ancestor (us). We came from Neanderthals and we still consider them humans. So why not a future version?
