No but i took out aputeks with a free bus, does that count?
Rene... It's a game. It's supposed to be fun, not "hard labour." And Aputeks IMO are much easier than the BP cent bots, but who-killed-what in a bus doesn't matter. What matters is having fun, without stopping other players from having fun, and trying not to let other players having fun interfere with you having fun. Must you two continue this?
Sorry.
beo,
instant gratification = fun? Like I said, i didn't think that there was anything wrong with the time it needed to get to level 8 combat (of full deddicated playtime). Heck i wouldn't mind having to wait 2 months before having the max levels... as long as I would enjoy what I was doing along the way. And to be honest untill level 8 i was quite enjoying the blating of bots, although it became a bit repettetive after 8-9 days of doing traderuns and blasting bots non stop... for 16+ hours at an end, but that was my own choice.
Not to mention that I nowhere said that it should be hard labour... But 2 days of full botting and getting max levels and then having the nerf to call that hard labour while he himself experienced the time it normally took to level a char to comparable levels... that and that alone I can't understand. Which is also the only reason why you have seen me post in here. Since that seemed more like a instant gratification plee then anyhting else. Which I am NOT in favour for.
And no I won't quit it.

Nice post Arash,
But people seem to have the misconception that I feel it's somehow "unfair" for players to be getting such high xp rates. It's not at all about what is fair and what is unfair, honestly, it doesn't matter to me what someone's levels are in relation to my own.
I just honestly love this game and I am seriously concerned that being able to max out your levels in 2 days will wreck it. Why? Because I think the type of person that would powerlevel for 2 days straight to get to the top wouldn't find much of a reason to stick around once they got there.
I on the other hand, like Arash, play for my guild and for the RP battles and interaction with other players. However, this guild wasn't something I found over night. If you can burn through the game's "track" so to speak in 2 days, you won't have spent any time trying to get around in a medium charge battery vulture, you won't have made a trip to corvus to see all the new types of ships that were above your license level...
see what I'm getting at?
A steady progression is the heart and soul of an RPG, not "boom! there ya go, here's everything."

The main reason I'm BP'ing is because of the fun and excitment it provides, and I HAVE to use my alts for it. Why? Because my main is loved everywhere (even Itani) and I don't want to tank my faction just to BP.
And I will admit I am taking the oppurtunity to level up all my alts. I have FIVE active characters, and I REALLY don't want to spend a month of full-time playing to level ALL of them up to a respectable level, so I'm alternating between them for the BP.
I guess what I'm trying to say is even though everyone is getting "powerleveled" I'm sure the majority of the population in Deneb goes there for the fun and the excitment, not the crazy money and xp rewards.

most of players have their stats better than me (licences)
and i have better PK kill than most of them.
i saw somone (alpha player) with licence 16/16/16/16/16 but he has very very few PK kills.
licences = for ships & equipments only.
your jealousy has no sense guys.

Hahaha Nya, the guy you saw is a guide. He spends most of his time helping people, not killing them :).
Back on topic: anybody can have insane rewards with BP without even going into Deneb. That does not make sense.
Sure, licences are for ships and equipment only. But if anybody can make it to level 9 by staying online afk during a few hours, why not cancel any licence requirement?

Kind of what I was saying, Sun, that last part.

please stop your rumor :
"licence 9 in few hours."
(how many players? what is the group? and how many is powerleveling?... need more info)
unbeliable. waste fo time to discuss and arg.

The fact that it's repetitive and has no purpose other than to level makes the point to me anyway—no matter how little (or much) time it takes. Levelling isn't the point of this game, but why is it one of the biggest activities?
Besides, I'd consider Sun a fairly reliable source.

Nya: at a conservative estimate, we were averaging 24,000 xp per hour in a group of 8. You do the math.
Seraph: You have to have some kind of progression, be it "experience points" or money.
I'd honestly rather have it be a combination of the two, but money really isn't any object right now. Perhaps it will be once we can buy cap ships.
I mean it's great people are having fun, I'm all for that. But with these huge xp gains for a relatively easy activity, we just threw the one last type of "currency" that was still moderately scarce to the wind.
Having the world handed to you on a silver platter does not equal a fun game. It's conflict and resolution, choices and management.

have you tried the xp in advanced combat with a group of 8 people? compare.
the fact is : no1 did the boring advanced mission combat in group.
and what about the trade guild mission? look at the rewards (standing, moneys, trade). it's no risk at all compare to BP.
why BP has the most activities?
because it 's fun. thing waited for long.
missions where you fight players and NPC and have decent rewards and a lot of risk.
PS : we leveled alone in the past with the advanced combat. the mission is boring compare to the new BP mission. BP rewards is'nt so much and it's more risky. you complaining coz your are frustrated when you think new players are more lucky than you. (able to level in group and gaining cool xp).
players interactivity is the first goal.
thing that shall be for long.
not the boring trade/mining/botting. (not the first goal)

We're not going to reset anybody. Except whoever started the rumor.
I also just toned down the rewards a bit."
Did anyone notice this?

FM: yeah, I tried the mission after it was toned down. I can't imagine what it was like before.
Nya: Okay, fair enough, but a *lot* of people did the solo botting missions.
This says to me that the group combat missions gave poor rewards compared to the solo combat missions.
Does it have to be all or nothing? There's gotta be a golden mean somewhere between so-scarce-that-you-might-as-well-bot-on-your-own and OMG-cram-xp-down-your-throat-till-you-explode.
Yes the BP mission is *fun* I had a *great* time on it. I would have done it for no xp at all just because I was interacting with others and we were having a blast. I also agree it should have a decent reward.
The problem is it's SO rewarding right now that it makes all other means of gaining combat xp pointless. Scarcity forces players to be resourceful. Give us a little credit. We don't need honkin' 6000/6000/6000 rewards every 15 minutes just to get us to try out a new feature.

why this people is leveling so much now? (doing BP mission)
take a breake and think.
because the mission is fun!
why me and my friends or you didn't do XP in group with the advanced combat mission before BP?
...
whiners! you guys are boring.

phaserlight " 6000/6000/6000 rewards every 15 minutes just to get us to try out a new feature. "
is made in group.
test in group with the advanced combat mission.

Nya, the BP and AC are two completly different things.
When doing the AC mission alone you have to kill x many bots for x/x/x/0/0 reward and x amount of money, in my case I have to kill 11 bots for every bonus, and I usually kill Tycorps, so for every 11 bots I get 300/210/210/0/0 and 1500 credits.
But when doing group AC, the number of bots you have to kill is the number the strongest player has to kill multiplied by the number of people in the group. The xp reward is the same and the money is divided amoung the players. So lets say I'm in a group of 3, I'm the strongest player so the number of bots we kill is 11*3 which is 33. That means for every 33 bots my group kills we get 300/210/210/0/0 and 500 credits (1500/3).
With the BP mission it's completly different. Unlike the AC, no matter how strong you are you ALWAYS have to kill 3 pilots alone, and for every three pilots you get 750/750/750/0/0 with a 22500 credit reward.
In group BP the number of pilots killed is equal to the number of people in the group multipled by 3, so a group of 3 people would have to kill 9 pilots. The reward is also multipled by the number of people in the group, so 750 times 3 is 2250, and 22500 credits times 3 is 67500. So for every 9 pilots killed the group recieves 2250/2250/2250/0/0 and 67500 credits. If someone leaves the group before the mission is complete, the money they would have recieved is divided amoung the remaining players, so that is why you sometimes recieve extra money.
Any questions :)

So people are still feeling the rewards are too high even after a1k0n toned them down yesterday?
FM, no, they are good.
I DID NOT GET 10 IN A COUPLE OF HOURS!
It took me 2 days of playing constantly.
