I have something like teamspeak for mac... but it dosnt have such neat server doodads... its called netphone... it dont lag that much, at all. I use it in ghost recon. :) it helps alot... ::find linkage goodness:: www.haxialsoftware.com yes.
... lots of good things... Netfone needs a host to run.. and lots of people can connect to the host. So if there is a growing amount of mac people on a team you might want to consider it. :) hope this helps the mac users out there!

P.S its kinda a free for a while but then there is the little message that makes you wait.. just be warned but otherwise its free and no renting of servers in needed.

Does anyone have the Linux client mirrored? Their download servers are REALLY slow.
Apr 14, 2003 StarFreeze link
I guess I could upload both versions so people can get them quickly off me. But that won't happen till tonight.

Teamspeak only works currently with windows and linux...the port is coming to mac but that won't start to happen until they get thier newest release done. So it's gonna be a while.

No, actually RC2 is done. They just haven't posted any news.

I use Skype with Vendetta in Windows XP, and works very fine. :) Maybe it should be an implemented voice communicator in Vendetta?
Nov 15, 2005 avirulence link
I don't think the Skype people would allow it, since it is not open source iirc. Another problem: Skype doesn't support ALSA, which wouldn't be so nice for I guess most of the linux users. There are some nice open source alternatives though, which could be implemented freely. Again, iirc, the devs said that in the future voice chat will be implemented and that the codec of choice is ogg. Probably this will change if there is a better alternative.

For the time being, there is another thread about a voice chat server (It'll probably be TeamSpeak): http://www.vendetta-online.com/x/msgboard/1/12158

BTW: Next time if I try to connect to a TeamSpeak server, I'd better look how old the tread is :|
