I'm getting back in to the game soon, if they dont use this, I'll pay for rights to use it on my community site...heh..

pretty nice chikira, however you might want to get rid of the column on the right with the screenshots and recent headlines..

It's pretty, but doesnt have a significant function IMO.

My suggestion, move the screenshot into the planet, up in the top left "dark" corner of the planet gfx. That makes the planet a "border" for the featured screenshot, giving it a reason to exist other than just being eyecandy.

Move the recent headlines over to the navbar, maybe down at the bottom, or replace them with "recent topics" and put them in with the messageboard.

The blue borders on the right and bottom should be removed to allow the page to spread out on higher screen resolutions and contract on smaller ones, also having no bottom border and eliminating the third column would give more room for text.

I like the header image tho, and your free trial banner is a bit cooler than the one they allready have. :)

I would suggest however moving the bar labeled "Vendetta-Online Chronicles of Exile Game Offers" up to where it is just below the Game name, allowing more space for the banner without further pushing the rest of the content down the page.

I personally am not a fan of 3 column pages, so my opinions are a bit biased in that regard. :)

Another somewhat more complete design. SpellCast Some of those ideas are alittle out there, some of my fellow designers may know why.

If anyone out there thinks they can make a Vendetta-Online logo which will fit in the logo area and will match the site please do so! I'm stuck. :( Lol thanks guys.



Heres one questionI have for all of you, is the design to bright on the Mac? I notice it, but it could just be me. :)

Not bad, but I'm still not sure I like "Vendetta: Chronicles of Exile." It puts too much of a connection between the title of the game and the Itani backstory. It makes it seem like the Itani backstory is the "only truth," and would cause new players to tend to join the Itani even more than they do now.

Unfortunately thats the name of the game, so tahts what im stuck with.

Uh .. that's just the title of the backstory. The game is called Vendetta Online.

A critique from somebody with zero "design" experience. whatever ..
The headline backgrounds have this fat/bulgie look to them. Which looks IMHO bad. But I'm a fan flat/minimalitsic layouts, so maybe that's why.

That font that you use in the banners/headlines. Is it just me or does it look awefully unbalanced? Everytime I look at the text it wobbles. O.o Like these weird pictures that seem to move when you look at them. And does it look good with a more common font?

To the right of the Vendetta logo at the top there is this cutoff ... then nothing. Which looks odd since the rest of the page is pretty crowded.

The color scheme doesn't match the one used in the game menus. It was said before that it doesn't have to. But it'd be IMHO nice if it would. :D

I actually saw two copies of Vendetta Online at the Fry's Electronics near my house. But for some reason the boxes were pretty beat up, and didn't look new at all. Compared with the boxes around them, I don't think I would have bought it, even though the games it was near were crap.

I saw a few copies at Gamespot, I convinced someone to but Vendetta instead of the Sims, dont know if they've set up a account yet.

Anyway heres an even more completed layout and if anyone wants to have a crack at creating a logo vendetta that fits the site pelase do!

Number 6, crumble planet, is the best imo.

Nice job chikira, hopefully the dev's will consider some of your idea's.

My thoughts:

Layout very nice, clean and uncluttered. Not as minimal as I generally like but hell, what do I know.

Colors are dark and yet the page seems bright, the colors give me a sense of deep brooding or distance menace.

The page feels very serious "I like that".
