WELL actually, the high end rails got nerfed in a major way.
the mk III rail is down to 15 ammo (we lost 15 ammo to get it to fire for a bit less energy?) though it only takes 80 energy now.
the advanced rail is down to 10 ammo!!
and in return it had a slight increase in damage (up to 1600 per shot) and a large increase in speed, up to 450 m/s. I don't know if anyone has tried it out with the new speed, maybe its easy to hit. But if its not then its terrible.

Shape, fit a ship of your choice with the advanced rail, let me take a, hm, Centaur. let's see how much difference the 50m/s makes.
hot tip, it doesn't close to triple your hit ratio. which is what you'll need to compensate for the lack of ammo even with the extra 200 damage per hit.
now, let me take out a SkyCommand...

having only read the first page, I can only say this:
When rebalancing ships or weapons, try to think of ro-sham-bo (rocks/paper/scissors, etc) Everything needs to have something else that can beat it. Everything can beat something but something can't beat everything. Right now that is definitely NOT the case.

Axia Posi does the same Damage per second as the N3.
N3 has a higher energy/second usage (100e vs 81e for the AAP), plus AAP has more "first strike" power. Pretty well balanced, if you ask me.
So where's the incentive to engage in CtC if the axia posi can be had with a few trade missions, and is superior to the n3? Especially with the capship coming in, I doubt anyone will do ctc anymore. The N3 should be at least *slightly* superior to any of its competitors, otherwise who cares about ctc?
I'd like to answer that one, even if we seem to be far off topic.
CtC is for fun and team competition.
The N3 reward is purely symbolic. Everybody save newbs (Serco or Itani) has dozens of stockpiled N3. Many CtC-ers don't even use N3 at all.

It would be fun if the prize to be had with CtC is something very usefull in the capship mission (and maybe vice versa)
Something like a heavy armour piercing torpedo. Slow, bad manouvrability, small blast radius, contact detonation, massive damage.
Then CtC would still mean something...

Good idea but don't forget the capship will be Serco only (unless I missed something).
