1024 x 768, Magus?
Yes, why do you ask?
I knew that.
Really, I did. . .

Sure, sure. :P

Framerates are fine on both systems. When I tested it (Jallik D4 station approach), I got min. 49 fps for the Athlon and min. 31 fps for the G3.

Power Mac G4/400Mhz
512Mb RAM
GeForce 4MX (32mb)
I average 19-35fps with very minor hitching that happens only ONCE when I look at a station for the first time.
Power Mac G5/Dual 2.0GHz
1.5Gb RAM
Whatever ATI POS came with it.
I average 300-400FPS in space, which drops to 2f-10ps looking at any station.

Gforce 4 FX 5200 Ultra (64mb)
Runs smooth as a whistle in space; want a better card though...
ctishman: turn Doshaders (pixel shaders in Video options) off to fix the FPS problem. The reason your G4 doesn't have the problem is because it's card doesn't support them.
