The title says it all. Allow the sale and purchase of Centurion Superlights at Latos N2 for 1 million credits. I think this could help boost the player driven economy. Thoughts?

But leave the current price as it is, I think it's 2k currently. Don't forget that you will most likely have to pay the player that sold the ship in the first place and the usual price would be 1m so it would be 2m per ship if the station wants another million credits.

wouldn't the station give the player 1 mil for selling it and then you pay 1 mil to the station for buying it? if it paid a constant 1mil per superlight it could be a good money maker for newer players who want to start manufacturing but aren't ready to dive into golis and tridents

+1 to selling it and buying. But when you buy it's always going to be higher then how much you sell it for. And I don't believe anything on the vo economy should be sellable 1mil each. Maybe sell at 25k and buy is 20%-30% higher. If this is about "boosting the player driven economy" then the players should be selling to other players. Increasing the demand for SLs and having them at the ready to be sold to players at a reasonable price would help in my opinion. But giving players access to a high profit low cost manu ship would just put to much creds in the hands of new players. Which definitely lead them to want to enter grey earlier on and lose more then it's worth and not really understand why they are dying. As most of them do not read the warnings.
The station would give the player credits, and can then be bought by another player. I don't think noobs are going to be flying willy nilly hauling stuff through grey, IL.

I would rather see them look to sell that to other pilots, rather than a station. Anyone that is capable of building a superlight, is probably also capable of finding someone to sell a kit to.

Yes, they will bark. I agree with nihilus. But I meant sell/buy at N2. So the player can choose between the meagre credits or selling for higher to players.
Why not just make ships as cargo jettison-able? ALL ships.
+1 to jettisoning ships, let the market be free and encourage the player market. We could have a nice black market for nation ships such as the Prom or Valk.
+0, i've had the same superlight sitting in dau for 2 years now. its not going anywhere, and you can just sell kits.
look... no hands sounds like you needa start a new suggestion thread bud. Let's not diverge this one.
You guys can argue about what plays *should* do until the cows come home, the reality is barely anyone flies the thing because the risk/reward is imbalanced when it comes to the SL. The ship is easy to lose if you screw up in a fight and clearly the player base has deemed it more convenient to just buy whatever ship there is an infinite supply of rather then take time the build another SL for any perceived benefit. If you at least intice people to build them with the ability to earn some guaranteed credits manufacturing them then maybe the general supply will increase enough that people feel more comfortable with the thought of losing one.
I would suggest capping amount that can be sold at bought/sold at n2 inbetween 25-200 to keep the ship somewhat rare and to encourage people to use them so their manufacturer friends/alts can sell more when stock gets low.

This suggestion is just not forward thinking enough to have much merit. Latos N-2 is an experimental station. It won't be the "special" station forever, so adding something like this wouldn't be a very good solution to encourage more use of the ship. I think the idea of insurance on the superlight is interesting. But again, another thread should probably be started for that.
+1only for: allow a player to sell their super light ship at the station for x amount of profit and let someone who wants it pay x amount of sold amount to buy, while intern giving the selling SL player and extra amount of money from the buying player for an "official" trade, if we can sell sky proms and x1 in n2 i, personally don't see whats wrong for a manufactorable light fighter to be sold there.
To sum up
Buying SL player:"hey you, got a SL for sale?"
Selling SL player:" yah i do, meet me at latos N-2"
Buying SL player:" sure be there soon"
....Some time later....
Buying SL player:honks
Selling SL player:honks
Buying SL player:"how much for the ship?"
Selling SL player:"its x### amount"
...Then the buying SL player sends the money...
The selling SL player sells the super light to the station and gets a default sold a ship price plus with the buying SL player cash.
Buying SL player buys the super light from station for an x amount of default station bought ship price, along with the cash player sented over.
Selling SL player has more cash
Buying SL player has a super light.
Is this so hard? In a universe so vast, so...big...with a dynamic economy of a station call by a name we all forgot besides....LATOS N2, we can't sell a single ship? A manufactoable super light fighter?
Thanks for reading, hope my disgusting grammar and poor story telling skills made it worth it.
Edit: completely forgot to say make sure they completed the mission is done for buyer or else its an exploit, thanks wash for reminding me.
editv2 I got the vo wiki for manulist (I personally haven't got the mission besides CWM)

Part of the reason why I haven't weighed in on any of these Superlight threads, is because of the amount of.. change the ideas seemed to be going through, mixed with a lot of muddled confusion and incorrect-assumptions about how things currently work.
So, just to clarify: You can already buy and sell Superlights from N2. As far as I know, everything related to the Superlight works perfectly as-intended with Latos N2, and always has.
Of course, purchasing a Superlight has the same Accomplishment requirement that restricts their availability anywhere else; so if you haven't previously manufactured one, you cannot buy one.
If you guys are asking for N2 to not require the Superlight manufacturing accomplishment, well, that's a very simple and specific request.

As Homer once put it, DOH!
Wow, so peytros (among others, but most vocally peytros) has been bitching on the forum, online, and discord for the superlight to be purchasable from N2, and it has been for the whole time! Talk about a lot of wasted breath.
I hope this puts to bed any further discussion of the superlight.
Insurance is stupid. It devalues the superlight immensely to the point where there is no reason to manu more than one (especially given its relative ease of acquiring the materials).
Buying the SL from a player creates economic incentive, and it looks like that functionality is in the game.
Inc -- a lot of this discussion was generated on the assumption that buying the SL from N2 was not possible. Refer to https://www.vendetta-online.com/x/msgboard/3/31324#375975 or https://www.vendetta-online.com/x/msgboard/3/35514#410529
Perhaps you might want to do a quick check to see if you can buy/sell them at N2.

I have completed the SL manufacturing missions and have manufactured several of them. The two for sale are still unpurchasable from N-2.
So, I had Ray check them earlier this week, and he claimed they were purchasable. But, we'll look into it again. Maybe there's some orthogonal requirement. I thought it was just the Accomplishment.
Same for me. I can't buy any of the 2.
