Why does this have to be in the shadows? There have been sales, duplications, and gifts of tridents since they were released. There needs to be a feature inside Latos M-7, a mission, a guild addition, SOMETHING to facilitate the transfer of player built TTM to other players post manufacture.
I have a kit put together but I don't know if I should bother assembling it.

I'm not against that? But like everything, it takes a bit of time to implement. Transferring a Trident in a meaningful way is not just a ship, it's also the related character-data to let the insurance system work, and that's a bit more involved.

Can we expect time or planning to be dedicated before S/P? I would think you want to work everything out with the current model before adding two more. Things such as additional features or content, along with polishing existing code such as player turret HP, ship cargo weights with cargo, and turret ammo, among other things plaguing the end game goal.

What about existing players with existing tridents? Can the devs help players out in the facilitation of the TTM economy we have put thousands of days building?
Pretty sure I already did the missions in the PCC editor to deconstruct a dent, in the interim that's all we need.
Someone will just have to cycle through the PCC missions to find it, I'm too busy to do it.

Yeah a deconstruction mission will probably be the easiest way. Turn in your TTM to Latos M7, take it and you get back the stuff you used to build it.
I suggested the same thing in a ticket, would be the best way to maintain the economy.
Sure, if people want a deconstruction mission, then I'd suggest pushing that up through PCC community testing testing to Phaserlight, then he'll bring it to my attention when it's known to be solid.
That sounds like easy steps. According to TheRedSpy he made that mission already. So all we gotta do is go find it, test if it works, tell Phaserlight to see if he agrees with how it works and wait until he told you.
Sounds like if somebody goes look (I'm really busy, so before I do I'm sure somebody else will have anyway) and Phaserlight agrees with it, you'll push it into the game. Would you say it's realistic we could have this within the next week or the next two weeks then if the process goes fast?

Phaserlight! Get online!
Yeah, if it all works robustly and there aren't any negative ramifications that anyone comes up with, then I'll push it into production. I don't see an immediate downside?
I've gotten a cable out to VPR hopefully we can see this new content in effect sooner then later.

you want a trident, you should have to build it or buy the parts like everyone else that came before you.
(or steal the parts)

Isn't the basic idea here that you can buy the parts (but basically all of the parts, all at once?). Or did I miss something about the deconstruction-mission concept.
How is it any different to buy all the parts at once, versus buying them individually?

There's no difference. He just did not understand the idea.
I just don't like the idea of someone that's leaving the game, potentially giving their trident to someone else that didn't genuinely work for it. Even if that person decided to sell it. Also, I'm not thrilled with the idea that someone can create a trident, deconstruct it, and give it to another account that they create.
There's no difference, you're turning in a TTM for the recipe. What the pilot does with his widgets are his business.
There's potentially a trillion credit player-driven economy untapped.

I personally already have a trident kit inside Latos M-7 without ever once entering UIT-guarded space(RBH), so whatever qualms he has are neglible.
I don't like the idea of players leaving the game due to a broken player economy model tied with end game content.
