I know resources are thin, but I would like to propose activating the Sedina H5 station. It doesn't have to sell anything, or have any faction, or any guards, it can simply be a place to hang out, dock, race, fight, etc.
Later, we can figure out what it should be, but for now, at least make it dockable.

Make it Conquerable ... and only sell racing ships there!
Would it be possible for it to only sell stuff that has been sold to it ?
so if I want to be able to buy megaposi there I have to dump a load on it
and it should have no guards and no faction so its completely lawless
what happens in H5 stays in H5 ;)

Drevent1: Read the title of the thread. In case you don't quite get it, here is a hint.
Alloh: I don't think there should be conquerable stations in the predefined racetrack sectors.

Ok i'm English didn't understand the fruit bit
but the no guards and no faction stands
and I agree it should not be conquerable

Also plant a big huge pirate flag on top of it with the word "YAR!" on it (translated into whatever language that is that all the signs are in).
I also think it shouldn't be home-able. Wait, better yet, it should be home-able, but only for 500 million credits.

then move it to another sector in sed
You're defeating the point of "low hanging fruit," LMAO. Just activate the station and have it sell basics.
Adding a station that is active but requires nothing to use any of the features is pointless and offsets the balance of the game. I suggest a three-tier approach to accessing the sedina h-5 station:
1) You have to do all the race tubes at least once for a key.
2) If you are KOS with more than 3 factions, you should be required to submit a "cover charge" for entrance given your clear and present danger to anyone else who might be around.
3) Careful consideration should be given to what items are available for sale in this station, given the intricate trade relationships and routes that currently exist in the area. I like Nahin's idea of only the basics, but I think we need to consider what "basics" really means. Are we talking about all basic weapons (and not the mk2-3, etc versions)?
5) The deneb border war is wholly imbalanced towards the Itani, and I don't see how there is any incentive for the serco to play. Perhaps this sedina station will solve that?
I look forward to an ongoing lengthy discussion on this topic. Btw, whistler has agreed to remove any posts that have responses with "TheRedSpy" or "Espionage" mentioned in them -- lets keep this on topic.

I think you're full of shit. To test, I hereby mention TheRedSpy and Espionage. Go fuck yourself, greenwall.

I think they should make it dockable and make it partially stuck in a wormhole so that it will randomly activate / jump to and from random sectors at random times
No one will know where the station is or where it is going but only that it will jump at random times and to random sectors. It will jump in and out of H5 more often then the other random sectors indiscriminately and for no reason in particular

I have a feeling putting in the 3D model of a station that already existed is the easy part...

Dude! Captain86! That's an awesome idea (really, seriously -- not trolling now)-- a roving NPC station. Freakin brilliant. And as such, we must file this idea under the "would make the game so much better but it will never happen" pile.
ARF: Copy and paste.
What amazing idea, a moving station... Maybe we should call it Capship?
sure, as long as you can start buying things inside a capship
