potentially a serious exploit.
Hardly.
Hardly.
While we're on the subject, Corvus voys should always attack convoys from other factions (with the possible exceptions of Xang Xi and Ineubis). Perhaps some other faction rivalries should also result in hostilities, but it's just downright silly that a bunch of Corvus pilots in perfectly capable WTD's and Vultures will let a UIT voy just glide past unopposed.
Actually, this belongs in its own topic.

Except that Corvus isn't a pirate faction and it interferes with their escort duty.
They are not a pirate faction per se, however they are certainly not above engaging in piracy to further their own agenda.
Anyway, this isn't piracy, this is corporate sabotage, which is definitely right up Corvus's alley.
I started a separate thread for this here

Yeah, I can see how that's ok with you :/

We all know that [TGFT], as an institution, will quietly exploit any bug it finds that fits its desired role, and will frantically wave their hands like good little children whenever a bug that won't profit them comes to their attention. This is merely an off-shoot of the former tactic, defending as a 'useful at best and not important at worst game mechanic' anything that hurts the play style of their natural opponents. If it wasn't so IRL sleazy, you'd have to admire it from an RP standpoint.
This thread needs to be locked, in my opinion. Far too much name-calling going on for it to be any kind of productive discussion.
This thread needs to be IMPLEMENTED.
Any change needs to be bilateral. If the voys can't shoot at you, you shouldn't be allowed to shoot the voys either.
Voys should behave like normal players in respect to faction space and station nfz. They should have the same protection and suffer the same consequences. voys should have high standing in the space they travel, and should not shoot at players that have high faction in the current sector, even if they hate each other otherwise.
This would solve impavid's complaint, and other complaints at the same time.

Guess what, moron? You're already not "allowed" to shoot the voys within a NFZ--doing so triggers, yes you guessed it, the SF!
Any change should result in a bi-lateral system: either there's a penalty for all convoy-related breaches of the NZF, or there's no penalty for any convoy-related breaches of the NZF.

tosh called it.
Also... I'll re-iterate that this belongs in bugs. Lecter even made the thread there... so this thread is effectively useless.

It would be nice if the SF were able to work out who hit who too... Too many times have I been quietly undocking/mining in a sector and the hog of an escort turbo's into me, effectively calling the SF out on me. Not nice, the paintwork on my ship was hand-painted by Miss Chi in the shape of flowers! The SF isn't too nice either.
Seems the easiest way to fix this is have them not attack anybody inside station NFZ. period. It's not like they couldn't know they or their target is in the NFZ. As for killing them, tumble, you won't lose standing, not permanently anyway, I thought that was part of why they made it so killing bots doesn't effect standing?
And, doc, your post Monday night was dead on, though I can't say I wouldn't have done the same and found it hilarious myself, actually, If somebody were doing this to me I'd find it funny.
