I'd like to see this too. 4 L ports is no problem.
bump
I'd like to hear if there are any technical limitations to implementing this. I remember reading at one point that there was some issue with shields on player-controlled ships. Is this still the case?
The idea seems sound, but the four L-ports are a bit much. I easily see this as a swarm rig, or a strip miner for levi sectors.
I think the shields should also be set down on the recharge rate, with, maybe, more capacity. Say, 1000 less recharge/sec and 2500-5000 more capacity. It would make it a tad less vulnerable to swarms. Just an idea.

Anyone strip mining a levi sector is seriously in need of a new hobby, particularly as there are many many sectors to strip mine where the danger is 99% less.
I think that we should try a smaller technological step approach, as the Behemoth DEFENDER pocket capship, later it evolves adding shields to become the Jackal.
Also, the turning rate of those heavier moths should be so sloow that makes aiming energy weapons useless for anything smarter than a collector. So reduce number of ports, back to (2L 1s) while trusting in shields and new turrets.
Capships should not deliver its full potencial when operated by a single man.

Alloh, if I recall correctly, no one liked your capship idea anyways. Don't spam another thread with adverts.
OT: We need some dev imput in here, methinks.
