Moldy I just completely dismantled your argument. So instead of spewing hyperbolically useless points, either come up with another reasonable defense or admit defeat.
Waitaminute, MOLDYMAN is the fastest?
Crap I gotta race more. Oh, and pay attention more as well.

Actually, you dismantled nothing, except explaining that it's doable, which no one disputed. As you pointed out, momerath is of the "Unaligned" faction.
And why not just make him a bloody guide then, if he can be trusted that much and has done so much for the community? Lord knows that lack of guides has been a problem forever. And then he gets the reward of being whatever faction he pleases for helping Guild Software manage the community. yoda's one of the few people who'd take it seriously but wouldn't let it get to his head or turn him into a twat or hardass. A rare quality.
Otherwise, I can think of a number of people who deserve special something or other because they do things like run events or mediate crap in chat when they don't have to or try to spice up life ingame or plan massive RP arcs, etc etc.
EVE Online devs showed favoritism towards a group of players and the community is still sore from that one. Wouldn't be wise to repeat the mistake.

@moldy
THis started as a very simple petition. There is no favoritism in making a player "unaligned". He has nothing to gain from that status, no special powers or advantage, only a lot of problems to make his ingame life hard.
I know yoda would gladly give up any faction or sub-faction standing and go total KOS if its a prerequisite for becoming unaligned.
For gods sake, it's just a char color in chat and on active players page.

actually, making yoda a guide (if he wanted) is a good idea...
I agree Az. And Moldy I think you should reread my post ;)
Sure we can make him a guide! That's not my point. I'm just reminding everyone that there have been cases where a player is "rewarded" (whether or not the reward is a positive this is much debatable! Guides have a lot to deal with, and as Bojan points out being grey probably won't be easy) for some reason or other.
My argument had nothing to do with the morality of the action (although I personally feel it would be super-double-ultra-moral to make him grey), but rather a response to your claim that it wouldn't make sense to give one player this benefit. I was merely pointing out the precedent to such an event.

A regular, non-developer player being given Unaligned status would only inundate us with other requests to be Unaligned (and we've been inundated with them already). It serves little purpose and is not likely to provide significant help to us, and has a large potential for headache. We already have unaligned development characters, and when we get closer to actually making "unaligned" a real status, we'll have the PCC test it on the test server.
k that makes sense. Thanks for the response Inc
Not Serco at heart? The words "Itani scum" make me think otherwise.
@Inc.
I tried because yoda is a perfect "unaligned" raw model. :)
@Protolif
You don't know him well.
Itani scum, serco scum, UIT meat... it's just a part of his repertoire. :P

Inc. is, of course, right.
So I say we make yoda a guide but make his guide character "YodaTheHelpfulDwarf"
Hrmm... who else could be a guide? Hrmmm...

If I was ever in game I could be. Maybe I should be a forum mod instead. Or blacknet!
OK, i get it. he hates all nations equally. lol
This has been suggested so many times, it belongs in http://www.vendetta-online.com/x/msgboard/3/7692 - I have no problem with other people suggesting it for me too!
Put it this way, I wanted to be unaligned wayyy before momerath was, in my head, I am. And that is good enuff for moi!
