Border Turrets, NPC Pirates, and PvP

As some people on here have noted, I've already covered all of these topics elsewhere. Sometimes more than once.

Profits on routes within nation territory will be decreased. Profits on routes through grayspace will be increased. The size of grayspace will be increased. NPC pirates will be added and won't destroy PC piracy at all. All will be well. For specifics, umm, see the various other posts.

Incarnate: Please don't dilute the concentration of players any more with a bigger universe. It's hard enough to find more than one player in a given place as it is. Instead I suggest creating choke points where everyone must pass thru.

i disagree with missioncreek too. with more greyspace, that means more WH's without turrets. there would be your "choke points". i always thought there should be a system right smack in the middle of the universe. it would only have 4 access points though, 1 in Itani, Serco, UIT and Grey. This system would be extremely lucrative, but extremely dangerous. i almost think the station gaurds shouldnt protect anyone in this system. like a "no holds bar" system if you will. it should offer a few things there that you cant get anywhere else in the verse, maybe like a new ore, or a new product that can be sold for ridiculous amounts of money. whoa, this should def be in another thread, sorry.

The grayspace expansion is not going to be immediate. But, it will come eventually. Missioncreek is right, to some extent, that spreading people out through a larger universe makes things seem even emptier. However, when player-owned stations become viable, I expect real estate to become an issue. I'm probably only going to be permitting player stations to be located in gray, to avoid all the inherent issues in having faction space become cluttered / overly-protected player stations. Plus, I want the Serco/Itani wars to impact more than just Deneb, and expect that it will spill out into the additional space, allowing more "system conquest" type activity without impacting the traditional borders and newbie areas.

Anyway, this isn't happening tomorrow or anything. I need to make the war work in Deneb at all.. right now we just have Border Skirmish, which has serious issues to be addressed. But we're getting there, and grayspace will eventually be expanded, but not before it's actually needed.

That sounds great Inc. Maybe by the time player stations are implimented in Grey space the player base will have grown so much that there are complaints of overcrowding. Here's hoping!

inc, you should really do better to advertise this game, it has, some huge potential, yet only 40 or so players are on it.. at one time.

The developers are purposefully not advertising until they get things fixed up and get enough content that more people will stay past the trial / first month of play.
