I love the building design thing in Evil Genius.

...Zerg slaves on a Leash?
Oh hey! I forgot about this thread!
Thanks for reminding me about it, weirdfetishistnewb1.
anubislord, I don't think I'm missing the point at all. This thread is about fitting a name to the game mechanic which would be called "crafting" in a game like DDR, but in the context of the Vendetta Online universe.
See, whereas DDR is based around the concept of hot elf girls having lesbian sex to "craft" themselves babies to be used as adornments and weaponry of varying power, Vendetta Online has for a very long time proven itself to be based around kicking ass with the power of your own sweet skillz.
I want to make the distinction between the two kinds of core gameplay very clear, since it's pretty central to my argument:
DDR --> dragged out quest to find and "craft" bigger and better babies to let the computer whop your enemies into oblivion after you click on them
VO --> sweet skillz
It's perfectly understandable that in the move from spacequake to anhonesttogodrpgiswear there would be a lot of pressure to move away from the proven and loved gameplay of todays VO, but I think most people, including the developers, understand that turning this game into an equipment grinding competition is just silly. Logically speaking, then, VO's version of hot girl-on-girl elf action would have to produce babies that are only distinct cosmetically, or else risk turning the game into a slightly sadder version of that one DDRinspace game.
To sum up, then, in order to keep the game fun, VO's lesbian elves would have to be terribly unexciting and would bring very little to the game except for some dubious marketing gibberish. The most fitting name for them is therefore one that describes their contributions best: pointlessfeaturebloatening.
PS: ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
PPS: Then again, there's always the possibility that the developers plan is to do a clean sweep of the community they're awfully bored with by replacing everything we love with things other people might love, and hoping we leave. It won't quite work, since there's a whole subcommunity of people that won't be affected by any gameplay changes, since their online existence centers around making their alter egos as miserable in an imaginary world as they like to think they are in the real one.

I'm sorry, all I understood was "hot lesbian elf girls".
What were you saying?
We should think about HOW these new items are actually being created. After consultation with a thesaurus, we have these words:
Produce
Generate
Bring into being
Make
Fabricate
Fashion
Build
Construct
Design
Devise
Originate
Frame
Develop
Shape
Form
Forge
Hot Lesbian Elf Girls
...of which I like the last idea the best.

Genka I dont think you even read before you yap.
I dont want VO to change but if we are going to get Player owned capital ships it should be far more then just clicking purchase aside from the fact that that is stupid and lame, I feel that would take away the prestige of owning a Capital Ship.

capships require class 'A' pilots liscence? Should there be a pilots liscence implemented into the tutorial?
