short and sweet before i start swearing.........
make corvus a faction that the wannabe pirates can join so theres no more same faction newbie back stabbing .
preferable before the 8th of march.

This has been suggested before. Before the devs explore that, they have to get the faction system working properly (something they are devoting a great deal of time to)- otherwise it will be about the same as it is now. The revised faction system might even make what you suggest unnecessary.
before the 8th of march?!
Maybe it's so there will be a week of preparation before the Ides of March?
They'd have to make Odia very newb-friendly if Corvus was a faction, and I don't think we want that...
Perhaps the 8th of March is the end of his paid subscription?
[rudeness deleted, yawn ignored] (x2)
Yeah, you just keep that up.
Yay Lecter. More unpleasantness!
(Perhaps just because he has a movie coming out, he's gotts act up...)
Anyway, yeah, the Facion thing and the Friendly-fire thing are next on the list to fix after KOURIER gets up and running, as I recall Inc's timeline.

too big a flaw, that sucks all the fun out of the game.
gonna let someone else use it,as it just gets my back up too much.
ps...just had a thought...what happens if i log off when i see him coming at me ?

Well, to each their own.
I used to get pissed off in the beginning, but the thrill of skilled, live opponents was just too great for me to walk away.
There's a 10 second timer if you log while in flight, and you'll likely be killed. On the other hand, it's just one death and then you can enjoy a snack while imagining your would-be assailant storming around with nobody to shoot at.

totally agree, also agree with the pirates in game part, but whats happening bears no resemblance to piracy at all,its schoolyard bullying,
a pirate attacks for the cargo,so how can they carry it away ?
these fools are simply attacking weaker players for kicks.
if it were a free game,i could take the time to work around the assasins,
but theres no way i`m paying for the privilege of having many game hours wrecked because someone got bullied at an early age,and then decides to get back at the world by wrecking peoples gaming.
theres just too many games out there to get stressed out by this.

Are you certain the pirates are live players?
If they have an * in front of the name, it's a bot. The bots were in fact bullied at an early age, or at least they were programmed to believe they were. We don't hold it against them.
If you're stressed out you probably should take a pass though.

its a player ...
Kragmier..UIT,camps in Dau and attacks when your trying to do a trade run.
watched him ignore the experienced and armed players, then attacks the new players with little or no game time.
the first 2 days it was total ruination, due to loosing everything in one killing.
then i kept most wealth on station, but even then, when you have a high ranked killer stopping you using the dau sectors theres really no point in paying to suffer it.

Best way to get them to leave you alone is to log off and back on a bit later, and then move to a different location if he is camping your station (and don't let others know where you trade).
Second-best way is to get someone to help you fend him off.
As for the problem I think you have: A not-so-small part of all the other players made experiences similar to yours, and still they persevered.

It should be noted that AJ spends most of his time in greyspace. Probably not the most appropriate area for someone of his skill levels.
It should *also* be noted that AJ spends a lot of time speaking rather immaturely; insulting others, excessive swearing, inappropriate comments (for VO's ESRB rating, that is), etc... those are all part of his usual repertoire ingame.
If he gets killed there, tough fishsticks. It's greyspace. It's lawless.
It really all comes down to the fact that there really isn't such a thing as "safe" space. You are a valid target anytime and anywhere. There are people who ignore the NFZs and faction penalties, and kill anyway. That's just the way the game is. Making truly "safe" zones where you are invulnerable to attacks from other players isn't what the devs seem to want.

Stationkilling low level newbies in nationspace is lame and should be sanctioned by devs/guides.
There is no excuse for that kind of behaviour.

From what I read, you spend most of your time trekking for a new ship. Therefore, you are spending most of your time in greyspace.
My other points still stand:
- If someone wants to pirate you, they can do so anywhere they like if they don't mind faction hits--and Kragmier has done precisely what he needs to do to be a pirate in VO. That is, he's tanked his UIT standing to below -600, which allows him to damage members of his (original) faction.
- In greyspace, you risk getting shot to pieces no matter where you are, *especially* at Corvus stations.
- Because of these two points, if someone gets irritated with you and decides they don't like you, there's absolutely nothing stopping them from hunting you down.
Also, your license levels show pretty clearly that you should be able to purchase a moth anywhere now. Why are you still trekking to Odia or Sedina for them?
Bojan: unfortunately, there isn't much way to defend against it happening in the first place. Sanctions on something that can't be prevented is... well, a kludge. And probably violates some rule for Guide operatons or something.

Im not so sure Miharu.
If you state it clearly /for instance/: "stationkilling newbie in nation stationsector is sanctioned by -5 all levels drop" maybe ppl will think about if its worth doing or not.
Even if that situation happened in grey space, what Kragmier did was lame.
What would you think of any famous VO pirate if he ignored Ecka in a loaded moth and went after a combat 3 newbie in a taur that only knows how to run by turboing in a straight line?
Some pirate ethics still exist in VO.
