I asked Incarnate about the billboards in 9 last night and asked if 1 could be placed in sector 1. He told me to post here, so I made 1 to show off. My idea is that it could be placed so as soon as you leave the wormhole, it's the first thing you see.

Thanks fur. It's simple for several reasons.
1) I'm not a good graphics artist at all
2) more complex means it becomes harder to read on lower settings
3) more complex could (i'm not sure about this) lower your frame rate when looking at it.

I still haven't heard any official word whether the devs are even going to accept these billboards. I'm very interested in making one for The Neutral Territories, but as I said I need to know for sure whether they'll even put it into the game. If they will, what pixel dimensions? Format (TGA?)? Otherwise we'll just be wasting our time.

it's worth a try anyway
