when i try and select the rune valk my mouse dissapears along with the description

I also just ran into this bug, when I select my Valk all the writing and my mouse is all blacked out. I can still select the ship and the next, previous, and the picture of the ship is fine.

yup. I ran into this same bug, but I was piloting a Tung Maud at the time and couldn't even navigate to see other ships (dev's see bug report #2695).

This bug crops up in the 'buy a ship' interface as well. I think that it is related to faction-permitted ships that fall towards the end of a station's list. The Valk being one example and the Maud being another. I tested in Tung, Itani and UIT stations and encountered the same issue.

this happens for me too, with the Valks and the ship following it, the Corvus maud. the order has changed too, the Valks and maud come before anything else.

you can use "tab" to get to the proper place in the gui and select the key with enter, you just can't see your mouse and the lefthand "data box" is gone. there is also a weird mirror-effect to the left of the ships with issues.

On the mac is appears to be a little worse.... the whole screen goes blank when I page through the "buy ship" menu. I'm betting that this is related to this same bug. When I get to the Maud the screen goes dark, with the exception of the Maud and a small screen fragment in the middle of the screen.

The keyboard remains active, however... so the tab process might work. I haven't tried that yet...

I think I know what the problem is and I'll fix it.
I slightly 'optimized' rendering shader-based materials and apparently it doesn't work 100%.
